MYTHBUSTING: The Wall

Posted: Jan 31, 2017

The hysteria, disinfo, and BS from the left is getting on my nerves.  I guess folks in Vermont have NO CLUE what it's like down here.  I DO because I LIVE here.

MSM is misreporting the facts.  Let's clear something up once and for all:

NOBODY is proposing a wall that stretches across all ~2,000 milles of our Mexican border.  The reason?  It's not necessary.

From PolitiFact:

"Trump has said the wall could cost $8 billion to $12 billion, be made of precast concrete, and rise 35 to 40 feet, or 50 feet, or higher. He’s said the wall doesn’t need to run the nearly 2,000 miles of the border, but half of that because of natural barriers.

The U.S.-Mexico border stretches nearly 2,000 miles, more than half of it along the Colorado River and Rio Grande. As of May 2015, there was about 650 miles of vehicle and pedestrian fencing,
according to a 2016 report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office.

There is no hard estimate for how much it would cost to add fencing to the remaining portion of the border.

because this is where most of the heroin that comes into this country comes through. Mexico also dumps their unwanted criminals through this area. For some unknown reason, people think he is saying everyone is a criminal. He is not saying that. There are also walls built already as far as I know for a long stretch on both sides of this. They were built by the last administration. There are fences and walls. I saw them on a investigation some time last year. People are very misinformed.

What gets on nerves is the lack of transparency in the media WHO - started not confirming Supreme Court

picks in a president's last year in office. It was the Democrats who started it during a Republican presidency, namely Joe Biden's idea.

It’s just the Biden rule. In 1992 Biden said a president should not fill a Supreme Court vacancy during an election year.

Democrats don't like playing by their own rules.

Obama said to the GOP, "They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.”

Now that the shoe’s on the other foot, the whining juvenile Democrats want to blow up the bus.

The dims started all of this when they borked Robert Bork. - Now they are going to get borked and forked.

fraudulently documented foreigners are more worthy than citizens.

A huge "champion of the poor" Nancy Pelosi’s $22 million Napa home boasts tennis courts and a Bocci ball court. She is lucky enough to also have a helicopter landing pad.

A political creation of unions, she employs ZERO union people at her vineyard and at her luxurious bed & breakfast, Auberge de Soleil, where a burger and fries will set you back $22 before tax and tip.

Auberge de Soleil, rated in the top 10 of it’s kind in the USA.

Pelosi also played a critical role in exempting American Samoa, where 80% of the island works for Starkist Tuna, from a mandatory minimum wage hike, from $5.35 per hour. "Advocate for the poor" Pelosi is a major Starkist shareholder, you see.

In a single year the bar tab for Pelosi’s huge government plane exceeded $100,000 —one time she diverted it over 1,000 miles in order to pick up a single order of chocolate-dipped strawberries.

These are the elites/Democratic Party cares more about illegal aliens than they do the safety of regular working American citizens.

She should have stayed in the wrecking garage as she has done nothing but wreck the State of California (along with Governor Moonbeam) and this great country.

Building a wall will also help stem the births - of anchor babies.

Before EMR, I used to transcribe scads and scads of delivery notes and C-section OP notes on illegal aliens every single day.

I also live in a border city and if I don't type about the crime and criminals, I see it in the news daily. I can count on at least three or four gunshot or stab wound victims per day.

My neighbor across the street woke up one morning and found illegal aliens in his backyard. He shooed them off with a shotgun.

Obama Lectures "we Can't Hide Behind A Wall," From Behind A Wall!May 26, 2017
when you’re protected by one. That’s exactly what former President Barack Obama did today. Grabien reports: Sitting alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel, former President Obama lectured the current administration about its immigration policy Thursday. While not mentioning President Trump by name, Obama made clear to whom he was leveling his criticism. “In this new world that we live in we can’t isolate ourselves,” Obama said. “We can’t hide behind a wall.” ...

PHOTOS: Crews build wall around new Obama DC home It turns out Barack Obama does believe in building protective walls — for himself. Photos were published on Wednesday showing crews erecting brick pillars and fencing around the Northwest DC property the soon-to-be former First Family will inhabit for the next two years. One photo shows a six-foot wall of bricks and fence with an opening for the driveway. Another shows crews diligently constructing the security measures to keep the u ...

Wall Street Wants A RefundFeb 10, 2010
Posted on Feb 10, 2010 By Robert Scheer “Buyer’s remorse” is the way Sen. John Cornyn, the Senate Republicans’ fundraiser, gleefully refers to Wall Street moguls’ current disenchantment with the U.S. president they thought they had bought. They didn’t like it when Barack Obama, after a year of throwing trillions of American taxpayer dollars into the bailout sinkhole, dared remark that he had hoped there might be some return for ordinary folks tryin ...

Who Pays For The Wall? I Don't Give A Rip. It Will Be Jan 27, 2017
Almost any scheme that would impose a cost on Mexico for the wall is likely to have some cost to the American citizen as well.  If you impose a 20% tax on imports, Mexican goods (e.g. produce) would us cost more for sure, although not 20% more because Mexicans would be pricing themselves out of the market, so they'll adjust their prices to some extent downward. The fact is, though, that the cost of drugs, human trafficking and the illegal population in the US is approximately 5 times ...

How Tall Is That Wall Supposed To Be? Just SawApr 01, 2016
There were 2 young guys who scanned a 20 foot wall crossing from Mexico into the US with their bare hands. They were looking around to see if they were seen and they spotted a camera. They went back into Mexico and it took them a total of 12 seconds to reclimb the 20 foot wall. How tall was that wall that Mexico was supposed to pay for? ...

So, He's Going To Build A Wall And Make Aug 18, 2015
where's the jobs program to build it? If Mexico pays for it, are they going to be in charge and hire the workers or does the U.S. get the employment boost? Well, I suppose it would be cheaper if they used Mexican workers, but then Americans can't make money off of the Mexican workers...are they ready for that right out of the gate with building the wall? That is what comes next, right? After the "wall" we no longer have a Mexican labor force for Americans to exploit and then we pay ...

Syria: Oil Prices Vs Wall StreetAug 29, 2013
That September drop you were expecting for gasoline prices? Don't hold your breath. Currently, gasoline averages $3.55 a gallon nationally, down from $3.63 a month ago. Most analysts had expected a drop to about $3.40 by early fall on seasonal demand slumping following the summer driving season. Not now. Some forecasters predict a short-term spike of up to 10 cents a gallon. Crude oil prices and gas futures are soaring on growing fears that if the U.S. military strikes at Syria for its h ...

Ronald Reagan Wanted To Tear Down A WallNov 11, 2016

Hungary's New Border Wall A Spectacular Success.Jul 27, 2017
Skeptics who believe a border wall will not stop illegals from entering the United States may want to look at what’s happening in Hungary. On the day its border fence was completed, the influx of illegals entering Hungary went down from 6,353 one day to 870 the next. For the remainder of that month, illegal border crossings were steadily below 40 per day, officials said. Border patrols prevent dozens of crossings every day and catch migrants who make it into Hungary within the first fe ...

Obama Sends Mexico $75 Million To Build WallSep 17, 2016
Turns out Barack Obama isn’t all that against building a border wall to keep out illegals after all. Thing is, he wants illegals to enter America, he’s just not okay with them entering Mexico. Looks like the U.S. is giving our neighbors to the south $75 million so they can build their own wall to protect themselves from Central American invaders. One of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s talking points in his campaign has that he wants to protect our borders. He wan ...

The Most Important Wiileaks- How Wall Street Built The ObamaNov 18, 2016
Perhaps the most startling discovery of the WikiLeaks dumps so far didn't come from the most recent emails surrounding the various Hillary scandals, though there are many great ones, but from 2008 when John Podesta served as co-chair of President-elect Barack Obama’s transition team.
