Chili's Restaurants in two states giving 15% of your meal

Posted: Jan 26, 2017

Chili’s restaurants in two states are coming under fire from pro-life advocates for giving 15% of patron’s meal purchases to the Planned Parenthood abortion business. Earlier this week the Planned Parenthood abortion business affiliate in Indiana and Kentucky posted a promotional code its supporters could use to request that Chili’s donate 15% of the pre-tax meal purchase to benefit the abortion corporation. According to the image the abortion company posted, its supporters can bring the voucher to any of the identified Chili’s locations participating in the give back program. The voucher is good weather people purchasing food at Chili’s dine in the restaurant or order food to go. According to the voucher, Chili’s will donate to Planned Parenthood 15% of the meal purchase between now and the end of March. ;

Just another reason for me not to go there. The original - owners went to my high school

and the original Chili’s was simple, cheap and great. I loved their soft tacos and their frozen margaritas.

Now, they are a corporate mess and too expensive.

Good for them! - Resist

Only 3% of Planned Parenthood services are abortions. They provide affordable health care to many, many women who could not otherwise afford it. This includes cancer screening, routine exams and contraceptive services.

What they claim to provide and what they actually do provide - is not true. Just call and ask for a mammogram.

Live Action released a new investigative video debunking Planned Parenthood’s claim that it provides critical prenatal care to pregnant women. The abortion giant has insisted that prenatal care is one of its core services that women will lose if its taxpayer funding is cut off. But Live Action’s investigation proves those services are virtually nonexistent at the abortion chain.
“The Prenatal Care Deception” is the first in Live Action’s “Abortion Corporation” series of investigative videos highlighting Planned Parenthood’s own employees saying its focus is providing abortions, not women’s health care. Live Action is releasing the investigative series as Congress plans to redirect Medicaid dollars away from Planned Parenthood to local health clinics and also vote on the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.

Although Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards told the media in 2011 that “Prenatal care – these are the kinds of services that folks depend on Planned Parenthood for,” Live Action investigators searching for such services at Planned Parenthood were turned away by 92 of the 97 centers they contacted. They received responses like:

“Planned Parenthood offers abortions, so they don’t offer prenatal care.” – Tempe, AZ, Planned Parenthood

“No, we don’t do prenatal services. I mean, it’s called Planned Parenthood, I know it’s kind of deceiving.” – Merrillville, IN, Planned Parenthood

“No, see, we don’t see pregnant women as a way of giving prenatal care, we see pregnant women, um, you know, if they are considering other options.” – Santa Fe, NM, Planned Parenthood

This is a long-awaited follow-up to a similar investigation about claims from Planned Parenthood about breast-cancer screening and diagnostics. In an earlier round of debate over barring federal funds from flowing to Planned Parenthood, Barack Obama argued that cutting off funds would endanger their ability to provide mammograms, but that claim turned out to be false. PP’s executives also claim that “one in five women depend on Planned Parenthood for health care,” which FactCheck.org demonstrated was way, way off; it’s closer to one in 30, and they offer no unique services that women can’t find at other clinics — except abortions.

money going to PP, and to every healthcare provider, is a matter of public record.

Do a FOIA request of your state Medicaid agency and they will provide data on every ICD9, ICD10 and CPT code billed to PP. Hint, compare an IL with an IN. Compare a CA with an AZ. That will help understand the larger context.

Hint, if PP (like any health care provider) were doing pre-natal, it would pack/hide costs not covered by Medicaid in the categories that are covered by Medicaid.

Hence, any number you see is likely exaggerated. But prove it.

Can’t believe that PP would be so blatant in its lies.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know this - is true. They have been in the baby part

as often as possible!

Have at it. Better yet, why don't you just donate directly to PP. That way - you can bypass the overpriced meals.

Ryan's RestaurantsMar 08, 2016
Not sure where to post this but I don't think I'll be eating at any Ryan's Restaurant anywhere anymore.  The Ryan's in my city was closed without notice to their employees this past Sunday morning.  The employees worked Saturday, came to work on Sunday expending to work only to find a locked door and note saying the restaurant was closed.  Horrible way to treat employees. Fortunately for some of them, another local restaurant manager is willing and wanting ...

Get Ready For Restaurants To Increase Prices. Apr 09, 2017
about to come into effect, and it could sink pizza franchises nationwide. The regulation would require restaurant chains with twenty or more locations to post nutritional information for every item on the menu and every variation of item on the menu. Domino’s executives figured out that there are over 34 million different combinations of toppings for their pizzas. That’s a big sign -- and an expensive one. Domino’s are owned and operated by individual businesspeople, and each new si ...

Meal SuggestionsFeb 03, 2010
My father-in-law is coming over this month with his family, and then next month my mother-in-law is coming over with her family. They don't come over to our house much, and I wanted to cook for them. I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for company dinners that is kid-friendly. I'm not afraid of cooking, I enjoy it, but usually it is only for my husband and daughter and me. I don't cook for large groups very often. There will probably be about 6-10 people each group.  ...

Meal Planners... Websites?Mar 15, 2010
Do any of you lovely fellow MTs of mine happen to use a meal planner online where you can chose recipes for the week and it will allow you to print a shopping list? My SIL gave me the idea of letting everyone choose a meal for each day of the month, and then she said she only shops for those items for that week.  I thought this was a good idea, but my kids are probably not the best to ask.  They just always eat everything that I put in front of them, but I personally am tired of spagh ...

Happy Meal toys and other promotions that come with high-calorie children's meals will soon be banned in parts of Santa Clara County unless the restaurants meet nutritional guidelines approved Tuesday by the county Board of Supervisors. ? About Rice, Plus A German Crockpot Meal. SmAug 04, 2013
Hi all!  First,  I have a question about rice. Has anyone ever had lavender rice?  If so could you describe the flavor of it? I'm a big basmati rice fan, but keep eying the lavender rice also, but it only comes in a rather large package and is pricey. If anyone knows what it tastes like, I would love the feedback. Now, the recipe.  It's for a complete german sauerbraten dinner and is cheap, easy to make, and is fantastic if you are a fan of german cuisine.  1 ...

Because of the crappy economy, I'm trying to budget my money better and I've decided to try to give this a try.  I work second shift and I've gotten into the habit of cooking dinner maybe three times a week and doing take out the rest of the week and I want to get out of that habit.  And I also want to take time to sit down with my kids and eat supper.  Take my dinner break and enjoy it.  But I am the least organized person!  So before I dive into this, I ...

I've Got A Finicky Eater. Anybody Have Any Good, Finicky Kid Friendly, Meal Ideas?Sep 08, 2011

Now she's 10 and she is tiny.  She's not like scary skinny or anything like that.  I'm short and her dad's short, so consequently she's short, but she's built more like my MIL in that she's small boned too.  So looks tiny.  She definitely can't afford to not eat and late ...

The last time this happened not only did it pop but also a pouff type sound and then went off. The only way we have found is unplug and plug back up. Giving Kids MoneyFeb 21, 2013
Parents out there, how do you give your kids money, like how much and what all do you provide for them?  My son is 13 and my daughter is 9.  We had my son a cell phone for years, but lately we decided to cut back the $250 bill, so I told him to use the home phone. I still let him take my cell if he goes somewhere, so that I can contact him.  The kids never really got allowance until recently and I give my son $40 dollars per month and my daughter $20 dollars per month.  They ...

Obama Admin. Hit For Giving Egypt $250M Mar 05, 2013
In part: The Obama administration is facing criticism for giving $250 million in aid to Egypt while saying the recent sequester has forced drastic cutbacks elsewhere in the budget -- including forcing the release of "low-priority" illegal immigrants from jail. "With sequestration forcing our nation to face billions of dollars in cuts across the government, it is unfathomable that the administration would send funds unconditionally to the Muslim Brotherhood-led government," Republican Rep. ...

Giving Illegals The Vote: How To Wreck A CountryFeb 17, 2015
