Reregistered as a Republican today.

Today I switched my party afilliation to Republican (from Independent).

I just turned 54, and Trump is the first POTUS in my lifetime who actually did what he said he would do. (I study history and have read up on Kennedy, Johnson, etc. who were POTUS when I was a child.)  He has done more good for this country in 3 days than Obummer did in 8 years.

At first I thought he was just another lying politician, just like the rest.  But, he is not a CAREER politician -- maybe that's the difference.

Anyway, I couldn't be happier about the positive course this country is on.  Hopefully he can undo some of the damage of the past 8 years.

I actually have OPTIMISM now.  I had forgotten what that felt like.  It feels kinda weird, TBH.

I really hope this president doesn't destroy us but all I see is a lot of smoke and mirrors right now.

I really wish an independent would come out that had a chance to become president because I'm somewhere in the middle.

I don't see the positive course but that's my view. I do feel it is wrong to consider Obama a failure when he did a lot of good things for this country.

Good luck to all of us

The best thing - Obama did

You know I have been praying for all leftists to finally be willing to ask for the truth. Boy, when I asked God once about the truth, it sure hurt but at least I didn't live in a lie any longer.

I hope Trump can keep going without so much obstruction. Poor losers and cry babies are not what made this country. People with courage and concern for our country as a whole, not some piggybank type mentality or fantasy fulfilled like some men who fill offices.

I too love this country and am old enough to have seen plenty of politicians in my lifetime. At any rate, I think it is about time that America return to something that resembles her, not what certain people want to make her into.

I sincerely wish the leftists on this board would search their souls and beg for the truth. It will happen if you allow it to.

I'm not going to see the same light - you do.

I'm also not a poor loser and cry baby. I just have a different opinion of Trump than you do.

should take his off. He sees people that aren't there at his inauguration and sees jobs that he created that he didn't.
Well, it makes me - happy

that we finally have a president who is going to fix the economy, bring back all overseas jobs, get the rust belt back to what it was and end all unemployment there, end all terrorism once and for all, get rid of all the illegals and never have a single one ever again cross the border, we will no longer be dependent on foreign oil, we will miraculously have affordable healthcare for all AND finally, be best friends with Russia.

It's going to be tremendous and fantastic. . .just ask him. I will be the greatest leader this country has ever had and I will make Germa. . .oops America great again!
and that's just in his first week in - office - nm

Summary paragraphs from article in Kansas City Star: " Norman Ornstein, a distinguished political observer and resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute (hardly a liberal bastion) and his colleague Thomas Mann of the Brookings Institution have been studying Washington politics and Congress for more than four decades. How Much Is Your Gas Today?Jan 07, 2011
A while back I posted a message that the oil commodity prices were going up and the last time oil was about $90, gas went to over $4.00.  Do you think there is less oil out there? The last time gas prices increased that much, oil companies reported record profits and Bush was president.  Hmmm.  Republicans have the House.  I think I will go buy some oil stock. ...

Wow, I Can See TodayJul 26, 2016
I cannot believe it. I had hardly any pain yesterday except after the drops were put in and today I can see to read quite a lot, not fine print, but can read this board and some other things. The colors are so bright and the white is so white and bright. I feel like I have new eyes. Thanks so much for praying all of you. BTW, they had to delay surgery for me and the first patient because something was wrong on the light. They finally got that fixed and I was only 20 minutes late going ...

DHS Did Something Right Today.Mar 03, 2015
Supposedly, DHS shut down 20 of these birth tourist homes, all in California. It costs up to $50K for the Chinese mothers-to-be to come and stay here, having their babies in a regular hospital, and then go home. The Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution grants automatic citizenship to everyone born in the United States. It was intended to ensure that freed slaves would be able to claim citizenship they rightly deserved. Today, however, some creative "birth tourists" are ta ...

I Got A Cat TodayJan 21, 2016
Believe it or not, I got a wonderful cat at a shelter today! He is a gorgeous black cat, looks like a little panther, and is incredibly affectionate and good natured. He had been there quite a while because the shelter people said they have such a hard time placing black cats! He is a love (and my third black cat), and I am so glad that a friend of mine suggested I take a black cat! So, no Savannah cat, no pit, no Rottie, just a wonderful and loving black cat! He is a very peaceful creature ...

Wow! What A Speech By O TodayJan 07, 2010
I'm surprised no one on this board commented on it yet. I watched it and he seems pretty pi$$ed. I just hope he really means what he said this time. As he said, it is his responsibility. Maybe now he will stop blaming the former administration and focus on being a president instead of a puppet. The only problem I see is that talk is cheap. Implementation of what his plans are for the terrorist problem has yet to be seen. I did miss the press conference between Homeland Security ...

Wow, Today Is The Day For GiftsDec 16, 2010
So first I got a fruit basket delivered today from one of my accounts.  Very nice.  Then I got my mail and there was a X-mas card from our next door neighbor. They are retired, in their 80s, and live in Florida for the winter.  Since we live in an area that has plenty of snow, we (usually me) shovel or snowblow their sidewalk whenever needed.  In the past they have always sent a X-mas card with a check for my husband for doing the snowblowing, I think usually about $50.  ...

1.  They removed God from their platform - and then they actually BOOED when they had to jam it back in.  Barry knew all about this, incidentally, and had absolutely no objection to the removal action - until the political potato got too hot for him to handle.  Now he's pretending that he rode in like the Lone Ranger and "saved God".  Disgusting. 2.  A Dem leader in Florida said that Christians want Jews to be massacred. 3.  A Dem legislator in Arkansas plead ...

Today Is Going To Be A Great DayOct 08, 2012
I'm just about over being sick.  I don't have to work today.  The whole day stretches before me in pure luxurious possibility.  Yes, I have to do more "job hunting," no the job hunt really isn't going that well.  But today, I'm gonna set that aside. Today's Another Great DayOct 11, 2012
Got the car fixed - several things wrong with it - so hopefully fingers crossed it will make it through the winter.  The whole winter.  And there's another car here, so if worse came to worst, I could take that. Moral of the story - a big stress is when "worse comes to worst" is on the horizon, and you have to live with that possibility day in and day out.  So one aspect of that is gone. Bought a nice velveteen-ish jacket at Salvation Army - eight dollars - it is pitiful wh ...
