It is a big deal yet - Trump and his followers

don't think anything he does is wrong and will somehow try to justify it being okay. Putting the kids in charge doesn't make a bit of difference.

I want to see the tax forms too.

There is NO strict/clear/direct Constitutional provision that addresses this issue with regard to POTUS or the VP.

In addition, this is for the JUDICIARY to decide. Not the media, and not a bunch of stupid liberal laymen, LOL.

From PBS:

"Arthur Hellman, an ethicist at the University of Pittsburgh, said he does not believe any U.S. court, much less the Supreme Court, has ever interpreted the emoluments clause. “There is nothing that sheds much light on questions raised by foreign officials giving something or engaging in activities that could be construed as emoluments to Trump or his businesses.”

However, a violation might be difficult to challenge in court, Hellman said. “It’s hard to imagine anyone would have standing,” he said. Other legal experts have said that perhaps a business competitor would have the right to litigate."

Again, GOOD LUCK WITH THAT, LIBS! LOL

Stupid liberal laymen. Love it. - AKA sore losers.

The stupid liberal laymen - old and burned out

are Harvard trained constitutional lawyers.
That was a reference to the OP. - LOL
[ In Reply To ..]
The OP stated it as though it were a SETTLED FACT. It is NOT a settled fact, and it is NOT for anyone but the JUDICIARY to decide.

Everyone has an opinion. Not only Harvard "trained" (as you put it, LOL) attorneys but Yale-educated attorneys, etc. etc.

But they aren't JUDGES. LOL

To repeat, this is an UNSETTLED LEGAL QUESTION. Ultimately, everybody's opinion is just wind except for that of the JUDGE(S) who will rule on the case.
You are correct - that

a judge will decide. But the fact that the right seems to have no interest on learning if Trump is breaking the law is quite disturbing.

The right is still chanting lock her up about Hillary and nothing illegal was ever found, though it is constantly pointed out on this board that you don't believe it.

Why is it you folks aren't interested in finding out if Trump is doing things illegal? A lot of this speculation could go away if he would show his tax returns that would prove or disprove any wrongdoing, yet he won't show them. In my opinion, if someone doesn't show something that could prove their innocence, they are hiding something. this is what is bringing up the lawsuit.

CREW may fail standing test. - Law

CREW's first legal hurdle is standing.

They have a "self-inflicted harm" argument that is novel. It's unprecedented and most likely will fail.

See article at link.

... which is why - Cyclist

If they had a really strong case, this would be all over the news media. Instead one finds a smattering of articles here and there.

CREW's unique, creative standing argument will likely fail. "Self-imposed harm" isn't recognized.

Judge Seeks Middle Ground In Fast And Furious LawsuitJul 08, 2014
5/5/14: A federal judge said Thursday she’s inclined to split the difference between Congress and the White House in a lawsuit stemming from President Barack Obama’s decision to shield some Justice Department records from a House probe into the flawed gunrunning investigation known as Operation Fast and Furious.
