Trump is Already Doing Good Things!

Posted: Jan 20, 2017

An hour after Donald Trump assumed the presidency Friday, his administration indefinitely suspended a pending rate cut for mortgage insurance required for FHA-backed loans, which are popular with first-time home buyers and those with poor credit.

<snipped>

Some Republicans expressed concern that the rate cut could cost taxpayers if the loans started to go sour and the Federal Housing Administration was unable to cover the losses.
This is great!!  Why should the rest of us carry the load for losers with poor credit, who are a RISK and are likely to default?
This is sound fiscal policy.  I applaud our new President!!

I don't appreciate being - called a loser

I have an FHA loan and I don't have poor credit, in fact, I have excellent credit. I pay my house payment and extra each month and have never missed a payment. My son is buying a house as a first time homeowner and he is very responsible and pays his bills and does not have bad credit. I'm not a risk and neither is he. I find this post very insulting.

My guess is that this does not pertain to you. - sm

I could have written your post. I am not offended because it does not pertain to me either.

I am offended because - that post

criticizes a lot of people like me and you. I went FHA because I didn't have a lot of money to put down but was able to pay my bills. A lot of people got in trouble due to unforeseen circumstances like losing their jobs and these were people who just did not have FHA loans. As someone stated in another response, exactly how does this help the poor?

While I don't find your post insulting, I do find you misinformed - I am no loser either

Everything in my life was going great. Paid all bills and on time. Never missed a payment. My FICO score was "Excellent". Then for reasons we were unable to see my husband was laid off. Then I was laid off. Then I found a job, but part time (i.e. not enough money to pay bills). We tried everything we could to find work and extra work. Things went downhill. I called the creditors. For as much as I was told they will work with you, that's not so much true. They want their money and they don't care that you don't have it. Our FICO score soon became our "Ef ewe" score.

I'm supportive of whatever programs President Trump will bring that will help us. Compassion for people with poor credit would be nice. Especially since there was nothing we could do to avoid this.

I do not understand why you - or anyone - would think this good

It clearly and specifically targets only poor people trying hard to get ahead - like they don't deserve any help at all - HOW is that good?

People with poor credit are CREDIT RISKS. They are at high risk of defaulting. I was p.o.ed about the bank "bailouts," and my tax dollars should not be bailing out credit RISKS who default on their loans.

Again, this is SOLID lending policy which is SOUND fiscal policy.

This is good for the average Joe (not the poor). We Average Joes are TIRED of carrying water for the rest.

Atlas is about to shrug, and in a BIG way!

This is not - good for the average joe

But it's OK to SCREW ME, RIGHT? - TaxedOut

[ In Reply To ..]
You have no qualms SCREWING ME, FORCING ME TO PAY FOR YOUR STUFF?!

What else of yours should I pay for --

Your haircuts?

Your tanning booth visits?

Dog grooming?

Car washes?

If someone else has poor credit, that is NOT MY PROBLEM!

can help me.  I want to replace a toilet seat and I expect the procelain hole on the one side is a little different than the right where you put the bolt down through so the one side of the toilet seat doesnt not sit flush at the front when you tighten the screws on the toilet.  I have no idea how to line this up so it sits flush all the way around.  I never thought a toilet seat would take this long to figure out but it is not the seat but the toilet part where it attaches.  ...

The GOP Extremists Are Getting Hysterical Here Because Things Not Looking Good For ThemNov 04, 2015
Notice all the mean-spirited posts below. All that hysteria is because the GOP party is imploding, due to the extremists. The moderates have left the building and thrown up their hands in defeat.  As someone who always used to respect the Republican party and voted Republican many times, that does not make me happy. The hysteria does, because it means they are losing. Keep on with your mean-spirited name-calling.  That's what people do when they are losing.  Remember to use ...

Thanks to Jared to stepping up and if Secret Service is worn down, get another frigging job.  I got an MT job paying minimum wage.  Would you be interested? ...

One Of These Things Is Not Like The OtherOct 04, 2016
The dedicated Trumpettes are rationalizing Trump's tax evasion by saying Clinton used the same loophole to avoid paying tax. In fact, I have used the same loophole when I was an independent contractor. Now here is why it is not the same. Trumps tax loss claimed is over 1 THOUSAND 3 HUNDRED TIMES (1300 times) Clinton's tax loss. In other words, Clinton claimed 0.07% of Trumps loss. Trump paid NO taxes and probably did not for 18 years. In contrast the Clinton's pai ...

Seeing Things On TV That I Am Thinking What?Jan 08, 2013
I saw 3 different things this morning that I am puzzled. First, people having baby ultrasounds in their homes inviting all the family for an ultrasound party to let them be the first (along with the couple) to view the baby. The people doing not medical, say no diagnosis of any kind made but as we all know not every pregnancy is a ...

In Chappaqua NY, the snow lay deep around the Clinton mansion, but that didn't stop Bill from taking a stroll around the grounds. Suddenly, he stopped dead in his tracks.  The Secret Service agent who was with him asked, "What is it, Mr. President?" Clinton's face was growing beet-red as he pointed a shaking finger at the ground.  There, written in the snow in an unmistakable shade of yellow, were the words "Bill Clinton is a dirty pedophile." Clinton demanded that the per ...

This Reminds Me Of A Lot Of Things On HereJan 17, 2016
As it happens, in recent weeks I was the target of a trolling campaign and saw exactly how it works. It started when an obscure website published a post titled “CNN host Fareed Zakaria calls for jihad rape of white women.” The story claimed that in my “private blog” I had urged the use of American women as “sex slaves” to depopulate the white race. The post further claimed that on my Twitter account, I had written the following line: “Every death of a white person brings tears of j ...
