you have to remember Trump is going to give us all health insurance paid for by the government (as stated in posts below) while cutting taxes and building a wall and running his business. Believe me!!!

How's the CBO"s track record when it comes to - Obamcare? Did they predict its

[ In Reply To ..]
huge failure? Keep in mind that in 2009, the CBO estimated that Obamacare would cause insurance premiums to rise no more than 10% to 13%.

CBO are statist NEVER presided over a balanced budget ever or reduced a budget ever.

Ivy League Lawyers.

One change I don't hear offered is the one change that SHOULD be - implemented. Better run states

should quit subsidizing the states with more liberal Medicaid benefits - through the federal tax system. That subsidy is done through the federal payment formula for the federal portion of the cost. That formula has the federal government pay 50% of what the state’s cost is. If a state is providing richer Medicaid benefits, it’s costs per recipient are higher and the federal cost per recipient is higher. It literally rewards states with more liberal benefits.

The formula for the federal portion of Medicaid should be changed. It should be no more than the lower amount between the national median per recipient Medicare cost, and the actual per recipient Medicare cost a state has. That will make states with more liberal benefits fund their extra costs themselves.

Another change should insure the federal government pays zero for Medicaid for any illegal residents. States will either have to verify they are only paying Medicaid to citizens and permanent legal residents, or lose all federal Medicaid funding.

Rand Paul was on TV talking about this. He said that if individual states want to have expanded Medicare, they need to figure out how to pay for it themselves. He also said he has been working with Trump on this.

Where did it - fail?

[ In Reply To ..]
We have more people insured than ever. Premiums were rising more than they are now before ACA. Some of the increases in premiums are because people said "I'm not getting insurance because I don't need it and nobody is going to tell me I have to have it." These are the same people that use the ER for medical care and don't pay their bill. Republican states that chose to not expand Medicare are ones who are really getting socked with higher costs for insurance. Also states that did not open their own exchanges are higher. By the way, the same republicans that didn't expand Medicare are the same party that wants to dismantle the ACA. Since those are states that are having high premiums, what is going to happen when they dismantle the ACA? Oops, I keep forgetting Trump is going to give everybody insurance and the government is going to pay for it while he lowers taxes and pays to build a wall.

The point is, the CBO has been politicized. It's conclusions - are erroneous. Where are you getting YOUR stats?

[ In Reply To ..]
Are they biased? Are they skewed toward one group over another or do they reflect many?

people have died without insurance because they could not afford Obamacare. I'd say they kicked a whole lot more than 27 million off their good insurance when they mandated Obamacare. Doesn't anyone remember that.

As I said, let's find out how many like the vets died because they couldn't get the care they needed but in the case of the rest of us, Obamacare cost was prohibitive, couldn't have our own doctors and the whole lie.

Fear mongering. Hospitals work with people to get all - kinds of financial help.

I'm still waiting for my $2500 a year savings and my health care freedom.

The Ponzi scheme collapseth. I wish a real "journalist" - would go out and find people who aren't

getting a tax refund or a subsidy. People who aren't getting a subsidy aren't buying Obamacare.

Why Obamacare Will Self Repeal. Two Words Summarize Why.Jan 11, 2017
The debate is over. We do not need to repeal Obamacare; it will repeal itself. Two words summarize why: risk pool. The ACA is founded upon a stunning misconception of the very definition of insurance. Its advocates have mistakenly conflated two unrelated concepts: insurance and welfare – or, more to the point, risk and charity. People buy insurance in order to mitigate risk. We buy fire insurance because there is a slight chance that our house will burn down. If we cannot afford ins ...

A Full Repeal Of Obamacare Must Get Through The Senate,Mar 09, 2017
Peter Nelson, my colleague at Center of the American Experiment, is one of the country’s leading experts on health care policy. On the Center’s web site, he urges conservatives to take a deep breath and understand the constraints that Congressional Republicans are working under. In particular, a full repeal of Obamacare must get through the Senate, which means it must get 60 votes. There are only 52 Republican senators. Therefore, the first bill that has been unveiled is intended to be pa ...

The House had passed an identical version of the bill, 250-174, earlier this week. Repeal would mean that, for the firs ...
