popular effective weight reduction program

Posted: Jan 3, 2017

ruined by acquisition by arrogant mogul.  If there is any person who should NOT be trying to sell us a weight loss system, it is Orpha Mowfrey.  She has failed, failed, failed, failed.  I believe that is the # of highly publicized "successful" diets she has been on.  A bit like the Most Interesting Man In the World buying an AA franchise.  I do not purchase ANYTHING that has a celebrity brand - White haired lady racist's skillets and mixing bowls, blonde bimbo's chicken or fish shoes, panties, and girdles, or vacuous snot's lip kits.

I agree with you. She is advertising on almost all stations. Some time ago, she was on Weight Watchers. Of course, Oprah forgets to mention that she owns 10% of Weight Watchers. Dr. Oz is another one. I don't believe anything he says.

I stopped believing in WW when it was purchased by a food company. I don't trust the grocery industry or the FDA as far as labels and ingredients, or drugs for that matter.

When it comes to weight loss programs, repeat customers means the program doesn't work, LOL.

The best weight reduction program is portion control and exercise. Doesn't cost a thing more than the cost of groceries. You can use things around the home for exercise (canned goods for weights, etc.), and of course walking is absolutely free.

Just started, seems WAAAY different from old program.  Anyone doing this and what is your opinion on the program.  Also, a little ticked off they do not have any calculators to figure your food with.  That alone is a problem.  There is a calculator on line though if you have access to it. ...

A Progressive Deficit Reduction Plan Repeal all of the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax breaks for the top two percent.  Repealing the 2001 and 2003 tax breaks for the top two percent would reduce the deficit by about $1 trillion over the next decade.  After President Clinton increased taxes on the top two percent, the economy added over 22 million jobs.  After President Bush reduced taxes for the rich, the economy lost over 600,000 private sector jobs.  Create an emergency de ...

They will be able to answer about 4 out of every 10 phone calls until April 15.  After that those who filed for extensions will not have access to phone assistance.  Callers can anticipate at least a 30-minute hold.  When you get someone on the line, don't expect them to know anything about anything beyond "basic" tax law, because that's the only kind of training the agency can afford to give them anymore.  It will take months to receive written replies.   On-s ...

The Trouble With Politics Is The Most Popular...smDec 18, 2011
politicians are the ones who tell their constituants what they want to hear even if they have to lie thereby leaving the honest politicians who tell their constituants the honest if painful truth out in the cold.  In politics, it seems that honesty is not always the best policy. As with anything else in our dysfunctional society, follow the money, only worse now that the SCOTUS has ruled that a coorporation is a person and can donate their limitless funds to the political parties of their ...

It's Official: Clinton's Popular Vote Win Came Entirely FromDec 18, 2016
Democrats who are having trouble getting out of the first stage of grief — denial — aren't being helped by the fact that, now that all the votes are counted, Hillary Clinton's lead in the popular vote has topped 2.8 million, giving her a 48% share of the vote compared with Trumps 46%. To those unschooled in how the United States selects presidents, this seems totally unfair. But look more closely at the numbers and you see that Clinton's advantage all but disappears. A ...

Hi, everyone!   I need to lose weight and nothing I have done has worked, so I different approach.  I don't want to do fake food like medifast or Nutrisystem, etc. - so I'm wondering about WW?  I hate those commercials, but I can overlook them if the program works.  Has anyone done WW and if so, what are the pros and cons of Meetings vs Online?   Since I already work at home and live alone, I'm thinking I should give myself a reason to get out at ...

Weight IssuesMar 25, 2012
Okay, I have always been a medium built girl, somewhat petite at 5'3 and always carried my weight well. Two years ago I quit smoking and packed on 20 lbs. I got busy working out and counting calories, and tried to change my eating habits. Okay, it was gradual, but I lost 10 lbs. Over the course of some months it continued to decline gradually. But this Winter around the holidays I pigged out. Then I went through a transition where I lost my job, quit cooking and eating healthy and jus ...

Weight Problem - Help!May 04, 2010
I am hoping some of you out there can help.  I am 5'4" and weigh 108 pounds.  I would like to gain 10 or 12 pounds so I look healthier.  Some people look at me like I either have a drug problem or I am bulemic, and that is SO not the case.  It is to the point I am getting very self-conscious about it and even getting to the point that I don't feel comfortable with my husband seeing me.  The problem is that I do not have an appetite a lot of ...

Are You Happy With Your Weight?Apr 18, 2013
Just wondering if any woman is ever truly "happy" with her body?  I have always had weight struggles and had gotten very heavy and I lost it all about five years ago.  I was happy, at first, but then it went away.  I am not underweight and am actually at the high end of "normal" weight, but I just cannot be happy about how I look.  I decided I needed to lose 10 more pounds for this summer and worked hard and lost it, but I still look in the mirror and I think I see myself a l ...

Poll: President Obama Still By Far The Most Popular National PoliticianApr 14, 2010
By Stephen C. WebsterTuesday, April 13th, 2010 -- 11:15 pm For all the talk, saber rattling, obstruction and fervent peddling of alternate realities Republicans have engaged in since President Obama took office, one might think they'd be doing a little better in the polls, even if by merely playing the role of a lesser of two evils in the eyes of the masses. Not quite. President Obama is still by far the most national politician in the United States, according to a new CNN poll [PDF link ...

Need To Lose Baby WeightFeb 28, 2012
I had a baby 2 years ago and I have not worked out a day since then (bad I know).  Now, with summer coming up, I need to tone up and get in shape.  Anyone have a good workout they can share to lose the baby weight.  I've got about 10 pounds to lose, which isn't bad, but I'm so out of shape and kind of puffy, no muscle!  I really don't want to join a gym as I have a treadmill and some weights but really have no idea what kind of workout to do. ...

Menopause And Weight GainFeb 13, 2011
I found out about a year ago that I'm in full-blown menopause.  I have all the characteristic issues that go along with it.  All of my life I've had to watch what I eat and try to exercise regularly (but that isn't going nearly as well as it should be right now).  Some days I just have no motivation whatsoever.  My tighter and tighter fitting clothes should be motivation enough, but apparently it isn't.  I'm so tired of this weight gain and feeli ...

Weight Gain/GERDJan 23, 2011
Well, it seems I have myself in a corner.  I was eating what I wanted, how much I wanted, etc.  I have dealt with GERD symptoms before, but not so severe as now.  I wake up with bad heartburn, etc.  I vow to eat more sensibly and smaller amounts at a time.   I love hot tea throughout the day, and decaf coffee, one cup per day.  Can anyone tell me:   1.  Does green tea have caffeine?  A friend suggested I drink this. 2.  Is decaf tea ...
