Thanks for asking Rusty. That means a lot to me. He was moved out of his ICU room and is coming along really well now. He has an awfully long way to go and the way the rods, etc. were put in, I imagine he will have a limp or different gait anyway. He has had food and water now. He wanted macaroni and cheese first meal. LOL. His splints and casts are being removed as are stitches now, but no weight bearing on anything. I mean he can't put weight on anything. So far PT is working with him so I imagine in a few days or weeks, he will come back to our hometown and to a nursing home to receive therapy. He is in good spirits and keeps everyone laughing. He is like that though. He is finally awake and lucid and can answer questions appropriately. He was so drugged up that he could not wake up and all those surgeries. He has injuries in all four extremities. He still has quite a bit of pain. I worry that he will become addicted to the pain meds. I hope not. Anyway, news seems to be good and we all thank God for everything he has done, especially sparing his life. Pray for his mother as she is so weary. I know she will be glad when he is back here and so will I. It is too far to go visit him and the weather is making it hard to travel now. Again, Rusty, thanks for asking about him. ;

I am so glad things are getting better - Rusty

The power of prayer! Take one day at a time, celebrate the victories, and leave everything else for tomorrow, no matter how small or large. He is progressing, slowly, but you knew that would happen. Hope he moves before the holidays, that would be great. Keep me posted, as I will be leaving MT soon, and will check back periodically on my "peeps" once in a while. Hugs,

Thanks Rusty for your caring and concern - anonie

I am not in MT any longer but I wanted to see how bad it got after I finally retired.

What will you be doing then if not MT?

Paper work is keeping him from coming home to our town. He may have to go to one about 14 miles from here. It is where my mother was for a few years.

I sure wish he would be able to come back home. I know he would feel better.

Anyway, we don't know exactly when but I still have faith he will be out of Ft. Wayne, IN hospital before Christmas.

Thanks for your concern and caring. I appreciate that.

I will be going into factory work. Have to leave my favorite thing to do just in order to make some more money and have decent benefits. I too, live in Indiana. I hope and pray he comes to where you and his family can be there for him. Prayers again.
Rusty I wish you luck - anonie

I live in Randolph Co. Do you live anywhere near there.

I still miss doing MT. I feel like I am now behind on the every day exploding medical field. However, my health these days is not the best and I wear out quickly due to diastolic heart failure. Anyway, am working to live with it.

We have a factory that was recently bought out by the Japanese and they were hiring last I knew.

It is something to do with Subaru parts I think. I also have another cousin working near Goodland.

Gosh e-mail me if you want to talk. I'd enjoy it. I wish you lots of luck and hope you can finally make enough to pay your bills and some left over. I can remember the day we could make a good living on this and now kaput.
