Lifelong Dem Carrier Employee praises Trump.

Posted: Dec 1, 2016

n the record praising Donald Trump in two days. These folks are extremely grateful to Trump for saving their jobs and many of them are Democrats! This man’s name is Rick Link. He’s a lifelong Democrat who voted for Trump and he’s pretty happy about keeping his job. On FOX and Friends, Steve Doocy asked him why he voted for Trump and he said: “He spoke to me. He hit a chord inside me, he was talking to the working man. He was talking to the middle class. And you know, we’re tired of being the working poor. We bust our tails and for what? Companies are getting tax breaks, CEOs are getting bonuses and we’re getting the shaft.” Doocy asked him what he would like to say to Trump. He responded: “Thank you for taking the time. You’re not even the actual President of the United States yet, you’re the President Elect but you’ve done more in your first three weeks of being elected than the current administration has done in the last nine months for us.” Gateway Pundit ;

A little adjustment among the democrat middle class - about the counterproductive

politics of class envy is long overdue.

The way states attract business is to offer incentives like tax breaks. That's how we in Indiana have attracted business away from burdensome and high taxed Illinois.

I am a Republican and consider myself to be conservative. Trump has yet to do anything I disagree with. I applaud his helping the blue collar worker and his effort to bring jobs back to America.

I just hope he can save the other - Indiana companies

getting ready to lay off workers & send their jobs to Mexico.

I wonder how much it would cost the taxpayers to pay the big MTSOs? - Somehow

[ In Reply To ..]
I just don't think this is right. First of all, I am working my fingers to the bone for maybe minimum wage (depending on if I get a BMI wrong or get a bad run of ESL's), but now the taxpayers will be forced to pay the corporation ransom to keep the jobs in the US. What more do they want? My blood or first born?

Carrier agreed to keep about 1,100 jobs in Indianapolis WHILE STILL MOVING ABOUT 1,300 positions to Mexico in exchange for $7 MILLION in tax and other incentives from the state. I am starting to wonder if this is why Pence got the VP nomination (Indiana governor who agreed to pay). Again, there is that conflict interest corruption that seems to be rampant in the Trump adm.
All states give tax incentives. New York certainly does. - Nothing new about this.
[ In Reply To ..]
In high-tax New York and in high-tax California, the governors of those states are constantly offering tax exemptions to any number of companies if they will locate in those states. The left does it all the time.

The difference may seem subtle - burt the cat

but there is a difference between giving a company a tax break to move into your state and giving one to a company that is there and is threatening to move its jobs overseas.
Many MTSO's move to states with no state tax. The problem - comparing a factory that manufactors

an actual tangible product to MT is that we work with data, so it's a little different.

The answer is more incentives.
There is no conflict of interest here. Ask Nancy Pelosi about that. - Her subsidies benefited her husband's

business directly by steering taxpayer money to her husband.
Conflict of interest, Obama giving tax breaks to companies - who donated to his campaign.

Solyndra for one that eventually went bust.

Not to mention all the money laundering schemes by Obama and Hillary.
And now one has to ask - old and burned out
[ In Reply To ..]
How many companies will threaten to move jobs overseas in the hopes of getting huge tax cuts from the administration. While some jobs may be saved, it will cost the taxpayers a fortune which will go directly to the corporations.

I think every transcriptionist should write Mr. T. - sm

In our own words, we should summarize what it is we do and what has happened to this once noble and respected profession, how we are now reduced to minimum wage, how some California MTs lost their jobs because they live in California, how flipping burgers is a way to make more money than transcription now, the knowledge base we must have, the capacious memories we must have, etc., etc.

We should all get on board and send emails to his website, which is

He is even asking people to "share your ideas". Well, let's share!

Working online is a little bit tricky. I wish I knew the answer, - but it's worith a try. I just had my

pay cut for the second time. This is what I've noticed. Instead of paying people with 25+ years experience, many of these companies would rather lower pay for the experienced MTs. I made more money in 1992!

I'm trying to get out of MT for good. I'm learning how to weld and I'm 60!

I have almost 30 years experience and I make the same amount - as a new hire. That stinks.

It does something to you psychologically and is very unmotivating.

I agree with everyone else. I made more in 2000 than I did in 2010. I saw my wages go from 12 cents/line down to 5 cents/line. I only got by because I also had a couple private clients until I wound up with medicl problems. Then I wound up with nothing.I haven't been able to get back into it since. It's been 6 years now. :(
