"Destroying America will be the culmination of my life's work"

Posted: Nov 12, 2016

A Hungarian nonpracticing Jew who changed his name in order to blend in with the Gentile population when the Nazis occupied Hungary. In 1944 he went to work for the Nazis, confiscating the property of Hungarian Jews while a half million of them were sent to their deaths. In retrospect, he called 1944 "the best year of my life." Asked if the slaughter of the Jews bothered him, he answered "No, no, not at all." He is certainly one of those who are now sowing chaos in this country, if not chief among them. I cannot think why he is a free man. ;

Trying To Add Some Social Context To My (Work) LifeAug 07, 2016
Hello, I love MT despite all the pay and headache-related issues of the recent past.  I am disabled so I can earn my $1100 per month (which is the maximum Social Security allows) in a way that's feasible from me - from home.  It's pretty perfect.  It just has the drawback of social isolation. I am quite isolated and this is not good.  I have been trying to think of ideas to allay this feeling of isolation (which gets so bad I am having an ECT consultation next wee ...

Fox News Claims Solar Won't Work In America Feb 09, 2013
"Thanks to Fox News and its expert commentators, millions of Americans now understand the real, hidden reason why Germany's solar-energy industry is so much further along than ours. Turns out it has nothing to do with the fact that Germany's government has long supported the industry far more generously, with policies like feed-in tariffs that stimulate investment in green technologies. No, the real reason is much simpler, explained a trio of journalists on Fox & Friends: It's alw ...

"Unfit For Work: The Startling Rise Of Disability In America"Mar 27, 2013
http://apps.npr.org/unfit-for-work   UNFIT FOR WORK The startling rise of disability in America By Chana Joffe-Walt In the past three decades, the number of Americans who are on disability has skyrocketed. The rise has come even as medical advances have allowed many more people to remain on the job, and new laws have banned workplace discrimination against the disabled. Every month, 14 million people now get a disability check from the government. The federal government spends mo ...

Destroying A Hard Drive...Mar 07, 2015
I have 6 old hard drives sitting on a shelf in a closet just waiting (for years) to be destroyed. I once heard they can be destroyed by drilling a single hole through them. Has anyone ever done this? If so, do I need protective gear? Or, is there another way to destroy them? Thank you for answering. ...

Naomi Klein Admits Global Warming About Destroying CapitalismAug 25, 2015
The Heartland Institute published a very revealing article about Leftist shock jock Naomi Klein who just published a new anti-capitalst screed entitled This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. the Climate. Essentially, Ms. Klein admits that the issue of climate change (formerly known as global warming) is not about science but really about overthrowing capitalism. “Our economic model is at war with the Earth,” writes Klein. “We cannot change the laws of nature. But we can change our eco ...

Love LifeFeb 25, 2010
Adult subject.  Please be forewarned, I am seeking genuine opinions in this matter.  I am not seeking to instigate a riot.   My husband is a lousy lover.  We have been married for 13+ years and I guess it will never change.  I have guided, instructed, suggested, taken over, recommended... with no results.  He mostly lays there like a slug and (I guess) WANTs me to take over, but it ends up being a CHORE and there is no positive end result for me. I have been avo ...

A Day In The Life Of A LiberalJul 25, 2012
Your day as a liberal begins at the crack of dawn with early morning yoga followed by a quick bite of dried seaweed breakfast before hitting the road to attend your latest "peaceful demonstration." On your way home, you're sure to stop and hug a few trees before jumping back on your 100% smog-free bicycle (complete with the "I break from beached whales" sticker). After a delicious lunch of tofu and egg beaters, you must pause to meditate, worship mother earth, and re-contemplate the ef ...

Democrats For LifeNov 21, 2014
My grandparents lived through the Great Depression and were forever grateful to FDR for bringing the country through. When I asked them why they were Democrats, they said it was because of FDR. If, in a generation or 2, someone asks a Latino why are they are Democrats, how much do want to bet they will say because of Obama? Note:  I don't think that FDR or Obama took they actions they did to build a political party, they just did what they believed was right.  I will be a ...

Life Is GrandMay 10, 2017
Former President Barack Obama traveled to Italy this week to make a speech on climate change at the “Seed & Chips: The Global Food Innovation Summit” in the city of Milan. It seems like Obama has taken a page out of Leonardo DiCaprio's book of “do as I say, not as I do” and took a private jet to Milan. Not only that, he had a 14 car convoy to get into the city, which also included protection from above with a helicopter. More at link... ...

VP Pence Is Pro-life? Jun 26, 2017
A mother's words to VP Pence on the Republican health care plan:  (Excerpt)   "Personal responsibility, Mr. Pence? What exactly are you referring to here? Because I really don't know how my six year old, who is non-verbal, non-ambulatory, exclusively tube fed, vision impaired and medically fragile, who relies on me and a handful of other caregivers for literally everything, is supposed to take personal responsibility for his own health. You know, since it was his f ...

Real life comedy......always something in my house!!   My hubby left to go get his monthly haircut.  An hour later he calls and tells me he's in Wal-Mart and about to buy some Wahl hair clippers.  He said since he wears his hair so short, even a monkey could cut his hair.   Well, I told him, "Hon, we don't own a monkey, so go put those clippers back".    ...

Prayer Request For New Job And LifeMar 01, 2011
I had taken a medical transcription course and graduated with a certificate of honors 2 years ago. I never found a job in the field despite all of the hard work and effordt I put into it. I ended up getting a PRN job in the medical field doing something different: performing hearing screens on newborn babies at the hospital. I found a job as an audiology tech at a bigger hospital and I would be doing this full time! I was selected for the position (yay!) and have to pass all of these tests to st ...

How Do You Combat The Sedentary Life? Jun 08, 2011
So the big news is using standing desks because sitting in a chair is bad for you even if you work out regularly.  I tried it today and it would be very hard to get used to it because using the pedal is super annoying.  I'm wondering what you recommend and how you keep from just sitting in the chair for hours on end.  Let's come up with some good ideas for staying active.   ...

Do You Ever Feel Like You Are Living In Another LifeAug 05, 2011
Okay, before anyone replies with "you're the only one who can change things" or anything like that, I know that already.  I know not to be living in a dream world, be grateful for what I have, etc.  I know all that stuff.  I'm just wondering if there are other people who feel like they are living in a different life they are not meant to be in.  I don't know how to describe it.  I feel like I'm in limbo or something.  I was pulling up some differ ...

Privacy On Life SupportOct 13, 2010
Before his forced resignation, President Richard Nixon declared, "When the president does it, that means it is not illegal." Our current chief executive, however, speaking this year at the Pentagon on Sept. 11, said of our terrorist enemies: "They may seek to exploit our freedoms, but we will not sacrifice the liberties we cherish or hunker down behind walls of suspicion and distrust." By contrast, on Sept. 27, Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Charlie Savage, the press' Paul Revere guardian ...

Life In The New Banana RepublicApr 05, 2010
Isn't it classic wisdom to "learn something from every event or encounter you have in your life??  Oh I take it seriously.  So here's what I am learning (and the other classic wisdom -- you can read about something, you can study it --- but you won't really know 'what it is' until you EXPERIENCE IT.
