What a thin skinned complete idiot Trump is

Posted: Oct 20, 2016

The thing that got me is I was interested to hear what Hillary (and Donald - about Social Security, NOT how nasty Hillary is!) was saying. It is a worry for us that they will try to play around with what they call "entitlements" - what I call my major retirement income - and you really want to know what they plan for that.

From the debate:

Clinton: "I am on record as saying we need to put more money into the Social Security trust fund," Clinton said. "That's part of my commitment to raise taxes on the wealthy. My Social Security payroll contribution will go up as will Donald's, assuming he can't figure out how to get out of it, but what we want to do is--"

Trump: "Such a nasty woman," Trump interjected.

Clinton: "--replenish the trust fund by making sure we have sufficient resources," Clinton continued, without missing a beat, "and that will come from either raising the cap and/or finding other ways to get more money into it. I will not cut benefits. I want to enhance benefits for low-income workers and for women who have been disadvantaged by the current social security system."

Really, Donald? Your pitifully insecure self with a massive ego picked that out of the entire statement? BTW, he never did say what he has planned, he never does, he just rambles on about something or other and never gets to the point we want to hear.

Well, now supposedly this is a media firestorm about Trump and women AGAIN, and we still do not know what he plans to do about SS. Crazy, or crazy like a fox?

Let's analyze her sentence further:

HILLARY CLINTON:

"I am on record as saying we need to put more money into the Social Security trust fund," Clinton said. "That's part of my commitment to raise taxes on the wealthy."

"My Social Security payroll contribution will go up as will Donald's, assuming he can't figure out how to get out of it, but what we want to do is replenish the trust fund by making sure we have sufficient resources, and that will come from either raising the cap and/or finding other ways to get more money into it"

"I WILL NOT CUT BENEFITS (caps mine). I want to enhance benefits for low-income workers and for women who have been disadvantaged by the current social security system."

Trump's focus:

"My Social Security payroll contribution will go up as will Donald's, assuming he can't figure out how to get out of it..."

Really, Donald? Honestly, it's such a small dig. After all, you did get out of paying taxes for 20 years so why is that not a fair dig? It is, you jerk. Calm yourself, idiot.

My focus:

"I will not cut benefits. I want to enhance benefits for low-income workers and for women who have been disadvantaged by the current social security system."

Hallelujah, that's what I like to hear.

Trump's only basic economic surety is that he will have massive tax cuts for the wealthy and businesses. AGAIN. That never works, can't they see that by now?

Also, Paul Ryan, who is the darling of the Republican party, has very scary stuff in his budget - he always wants to raise the retirement age and cut benefits. Nice for him, not so much for those of us aging women stuck in this horrible job which will leave us penniless.

Those of you who are on his side with this, what the heck is wrong with people who make more than $127,000 paying into Social Security based on all their income? Honestly, they wouldn't miss it, would they? How is that unfair, after all we pay SS tax on all our money we make, why shouldn't they?

When social security is all you have - sm

When you are a low income person and have little more than social security, all of your money goes back into the economy for basics like rent and food and keeps the economy running, not spent on foreign vacations and locked up in bank vaults.

I was really glad to hear Hillary address the Social Security issue in regards to the problems with women. I took off about 10 years in the work force in order to raise a family of healthy kids who who are now good citizens. I am now working in a minimum wage job of which I am being threatened to lose because the company can hire cheaper workers in Alabama, Tennessee, etc. When I finally reach retirement, a stressed out physical mess, I will be able to collect a Social Security check that will be at least $800 a month less than my husbands. Thank God I have a husband to share the expenses with. There are many, many women out there without that financial cushion. Finally, a president who actually understands that.

Trump is his own biggest fan - sm

He talks more about himself than he does addressing the important issues at hand. It would be comical if it wasn't so frightening that there are Americans who truly do want him in office.

gimmesummadatrichboyzmunny - We've become pathetic.

Never visited a welfare economy where I wanted to live and this one is becoming a lot like those.

I'd love to have what Trump has paid into SS in his lifetime - including his corporate share.

I'd be lovin' me some ocean front property for sure.

Snide? No. It was calculated to take advantage of the ignorance of the average American and our envy and hatred of the wealthy.

I see it was successful in a few cases.

Social Security is NOT welfare. - It's our retirement plan that we paid into.

[ In Reply To ..]
To hear Chris Wallace refer to Social Security and Medicare as "entitlements" was an insult to every working American that pays into the system by force each paycheck.

SS a "retirement account"?? - Hardly, dear.

[ In Reply To ..]
There are at least a dozen differences between a retirement account and Social Security. It will be more enlightening for you to discover them for yourself than for me to elaborate.

And by the way, SS absolutely IS an entitlement, by both the formal definition as it relates to government disbursement programs, how they are funded, etc., and by the common definition. Look up them up - more enlightenment!

I bet you thought the Affordable Health Care Act was a health care act, too.
Please enlighten us what you think SS is - and also why you do not need it
[ In Reply To ..]
If not SS, other countries force citizens to save privately for their retirements. Most of us don't have that choice since we make so little as MTs, so SS it is.

Maybe if you own an MTSO or are Donald Trump or Paul Ryan, SS is something to do away with. It is not for us, so if you have any justification at all, please do so, otherwise I will have to assume you are a billionaire like Donny.

Have you forgotten that Presiden Obama was on board - Truthhurts

with the Bowles-Simpson plan? Do you even realize what was in that plan for SS? Funny, but Obama was tricked by the Dems into thinking cuts would come to the middle class but he was still for the Bowles-Simpson plan.

All I hear from liberals and Dems is "Republicans want to cut SS benefits." Well, sure they did, as did some Dems FOR UPPER INCOME workers and wanted to RAISE the cap on upper income workers.

WTH was wrong with that? But leave it to the Dems to leave themselves out of the mix of those in favor of the above and blame the Republicans for wanting to "cut benefits."

It's time people stop believing all the lies that come from that side. There needs to be some serious discussion on Social Security and how to fix it.

They'be been wanting to fix SS since 1998 but for some reason, one party or the other finds something wrong with it.

It's time they start finding something right with these plans. The newest effort was introduced right before they all went on their summer recess. Save Our Social Security Act is being sponsored by a Republican with 4 Republican co-sponsors and 1 Democrat.

Do you know what year they started talking about changing SS? Bet you don't...it was in 1953. President Eisenhower wanted to offer safeguards that come with unemployment, old age, illness, and accident. "The provisions of the old-age and survivors insurance law should promptly be extended to cover millions of citizens who have been left out of the social-security system and encourage privately sponsored pension plans."
