So now we know that the FBI has been corrupted.

Today the Wall Street Journal published a synopsis of the various ways in which Hillary Clinton received special treatment from the FBI - VERY special treatment - which you and I as the ordinary citizens of this country would never receive.

The Justice Department had already been highly politicized during the Obama administration, acting repeatedly as an instrument of his policies rather than as the defender of the Constitution and the rule of law.

Then we had the deplorable Justice Ginsburg incident.

...and you can see no more clear example that party overrides character in Congress than in the committee votes that can be confidently predicted to go on party lines. Not ONE Democrat vote to impeach the director of the IRS for the contemptible behavior of that agency. Not ONE Democrat vote to hold Bryan Pagliano in contempt of Congress for ignoring his subpoena.

I don't single out Democrats here - it worked exactly the other way when Republicans were the minority. When party subverts moral authority, Congress has become corrupt.

...and so this is what we have come to. Bit by bit (and sometimes by leaps and bounds), the tawdry lust for power, for position and for wealth has saturated all three branches of government.

To whom, then, can we turn for deliverance?

There is yet one form of redress available to us, and that is the ballot box. But be fairly warned that it is ALL that we have left to save this nation short of armed revolt against the Washington establishment.

THERE IS NOTHING ELSE STANDING BETWEEN US AND THE DARKNESS.  If we fail to act, the final blame will rightly be laid at our own feet, for we are "the people" of whom this government is ultimately an expression.  Even now, we have the government that we ourselves have failed to govern properly, and that's a very sad commentary indeed.

The current state of affairs is one that we've allowed to come upon us, not by direct collusion, but largely by ignoring the gathering storm.

We still have time to scrub the stench of subversion out of the halls of Congress and the White House - but not much time. We must all light our candles in November so that, together, we launch a firestorm that will purify our government. 

To that end, the political insiders and party elite must be rejected and ejected, and you need not weep for them.  They will land in cushy private jobs where they can practice their black arts outside of government and will do very well.
