From both sides - Schieffer (CBS), Krauthamer (Fox) -

Posted: Sep 27, 2016

Neither side gained or lost any votes tonight.;

Very rare for debates to have any impact anyway. - It's just show biz.

In only 3 elections in the last 60 years have debates made any difference in a presidential race.

Moderator Holt catching hell this morning - being called - the third debater.

Maybe we should switch to college debate moderators, who generally know how to manage a debate without inserting themselves into it.

Time after time we see that media talking heads and journalists - from the left or the right - don't make good moderators.

He interrupted Trump 41 times, Hillary 6. He asked Trump argumentative - followup questions, Hillary none.

These people are so utterly inept at hiding, much less suppressing, their biases that it almost makes you laugh.

I'd like to see just one properly moderated debate, which is about as likely as I am to win the Power Ball lottery.

No, less likely.

Lester Holt - Older and Wiser

I felt that she knew what questions she would be asked ahead of time. Lester Holt was the loser who mishandled this whole farce.

Questionnaires had been sent out to Donald's supporters asking what he should reference in this debate. A lot of people told him not to use the term "Crooked Hillary" and to go easier on her personally. Seeing how the "crooked media" is in collusion with her, hopefully he'll go all out to show her for what she is in the next one. That smirk disappeared from her face when the deleted e-mails were mentioned but, of course, Lester couldn't allow that to go any further and she just shoveled it under the rug with her usual flip response.

Regarding her health/stamina, there is a video circulating that shows her having to think about going down some stairs by herself the day before this "debate" while a reporter is asking her how she's feeling.

Of interest is the video about the Clintons' shenanigans/the Clinton Foundation showing on the One America News network. They've had it on multiple times and it's something everyone should see.
the reason it seemed like that to you.. - hawkmt

it's called "preparing" Like when you study your butt off for a test, it's almost like you know what questions will be asked when you actually receive the test. Being prepared is an important trait of a president.

It seemed Trump kept running over his time and kept interrupting - sm

trump would have babbled on and on if Holt had not tried to rein him in. Actually, Trump should thank Lester.

Trying To Look At Both Sides (WI Protests)Feb 19, 2011
Okay...so here is my thing.  I don't like unions.  I think that unions have used and abused union workers all the while saying they are there to protect them.  Union bosses have made outlandish salaries and are as crooked as the greedy CEOs who also make outlandish salaries. I understand that union workers in WI are ticked.  No one wants to lose money...just ask anyone in the private sector who has taken a pay cut or lost their jobs entirely.  It sucks and it isn&# ...

Both Sides Clash In OhioMar 17, 2010
Pro-health reform demonstrators and anti-reform demonstrators gathered in front of Rep Kilroy's office to express their views.  A man with a debiiltating neurological disorder was there in support of reform.  The anti-reformers gathered around him and shouted "No handouts here!" and other such comments.  Incidentally the anti-reform protestors who stated their neighborhoods to the local press ALL came from the oldest, wealthiest, snobbiest suburb in the city.&n ...

I Actually Agree And Disagree With Both SidesJul 16, 2011
I do believe that we need to bring in more tax revenue.  I agree with the pres on that one.  However, I don't believe raising the taxes on the rich is the answer.  That alone still will not cover the amount of money we are spending.  I also think that the initial step in bringing in more tax revenue is to close loopholes in the tax code.  We are in major need of tax reform here.  What good is taxing the rich more when you have big companies like GE not paying A ...

Kucinich Dem On Dem Digs Scare Off Both Sides.Jan 24, 2010
The largely ignored article below is worth a second pass.  Conservatives missed the opportunity to agree with critical points Kucinich made while taking his party to task.  Could it be his disarming way of taking all the hot air bluster out of claims that democrats never admit their mistakes or maybe it’s because they can’t admit that a progressive liberal can actually make good sense?  He is supporting allegations you guys have been driving home for months now on this ...

Moderates From Both Sides Need To Form A New AllianceJun 24, 2016
I am sick of an atmosphere in which Americans view other Americans as "the enemy" and are manipulated by "the ruling elite class" to wage pitched battles against each other, while the elite ruling class makes hay out of the chaos and ruin. How difficult can it be for ALL of us to see that "my-party-uber-alles" can NEVER be a successful political philosophy?  How reasonable is it to assume that ANY party has all the answers to governance - or even the best answers?  How likeliy is it t ...

US, Iran Support For Dueling Sides In Yemen Raises Prospect Of Proxy FightApr 08, 2015
Intervention by the U.S. and Iran in Yemen is raising the prospect of a proxy war even as the Obama administration tries to reach a nuclear deal with the Islamic Republic – with Iran sending two ships to waters near Yemen, as the U.S. speeds up military aid to the Saudi-led coalition striking Tehran-backed rebels there.  Iran's English-language state broadcaster Press TV quoted Rear Adm. Habibollah Sayyari as saying the ships, dispatched for the Gulf of Aden, would be part of an ...

"I Told You So" By Both Political SidesNov 20, 2013
"But don't hold your breath waiting for gun rights advocates to discuss whether Zimmerman should have a license to carry a gun. And don't wait to hear the left admit that given his pattern of behavior Zimmerman was a threat to people of all colors and not only young black men who could be racially profiled. The truth is coming out slowly. It does not fit all the political agendas imposed by the left and the right. And it can't stop the impulse from either side to say "I Tol ...
