There can be no more clear example of the corruption of Washington than provided today by FBI Director Comey.  For nearly 15 minutes he laid out an absolutely damning, slam-dunk case for indicting Hillary Clinton on criminal charges, and then he walked away from it, astonishing even Hillary supporters.

Lady Liberty died today, on American soil.

than any of the rest of them and believe me Lady Liberty did not die today...she was gone years ago. Seriously, if they were going to indict Hillary, then guess what...they would have to indict every single politician in history, because they are all on the same level. She didn't do anything worse than any other MALE politician out there or anything worse than Trump did. Trump is just as crooked as any of them.

This board really cracks me up. "republicans are better", no "democrats are better". How about the People vs Politicians.... we need to take our country back and fire all those that lead it.

While we pay congress millions in inflated salary to do nothing, all their entitlements such as food, trips, free health care, tax breaks, etc., they believe we should be kept at a minimum wage of $7.50 in my state, work a second job, and require that we purchase expensive healthcare, and not request anything by way of assistance from the government. You're right, it should be people versus politicians and the corporate greed that buys them.

One big way Trump is different - his spouse. I'd far rather have a - beautiful intelligent woman who speaks 3 languages

so true....plus I'm not sure I would want a gold digger as first lady... I go back to a shirt I saw a few years ago during one of the elections..."If God wanted me to vote, he would give me somebody to vote for."

Lol what a moronic, blanket statement - anon

You are stating that a woman can't be both beautiful and intelligent? Wow, you have a very low opinion of women, don't you? Sad for you.

Not sure about the intelligent part - I mean look who she married

and beauty is in the eye of the beholder, of course. I think she always has that mean, rude, bored "model" face. I can't picture her getting down to their level and doing things with children like all first ladies have done. She seems very aloof and unapproachable to me.

To Those Undecided Or Those Who Do Not Like Either Candidate...look Beyond The Next 4 YearsSep 30, 2012
Normally in a democracy the government works to expand its citizens' rights.  Look what has been going on in the GOP held states:  Voter suppression, curtailment of women's rights by banning abortion and closing clinics even though constitutionally a right (at least for now), union busting, replacing duly elected officials with appointed city managers, etc.  It is very likely that within the next four years the new president will have the job of replacing up to 4 new sup ...

Giffords Had Faced Threats And Vandalism Previously.Jan 08, 2011
It's important for all leaders ... to say, 'Look, we can't stand for this," Giffords told MSNBC last March, when a window in her Tucson office was smashed after Congress passed President Barack Obama's landmark healthcare overhaul. Giffords said she faced a deluge of threats for her support of the healthcare bill. "We've had hundreds and hundreds of protesters over the course of the last couple of months," Giffords told MSNBC. Please VoteAug 06, 2016
Regardless of whether or not you will vote for the office of president, there are other offices which need votes. There are issues of various types, local and state issues, that need a vote as well. In my state of Ohio, each local county PAYS for the cost in that county. Whether anybody shows up or not, the polls are still open, the poll workers still get paid. The polling machines are still rented. In short, there is a minimum cost to run the election. In my state, if there is not enough of ...

First, who would be your ideal candidate for President - this can be someone who has already announced or someone completely off the radar.  Why would you vote for this person and who should he/she choose as a running mate? Second, of those who have announced (or will soon announce), who will you vote for in the primaries and why? I urge everyone to try to forget party for a while and actually ask yourself . . Am I better off now than I was 3-1/2 years ago? Is our country better off now than it was 3-1/2 years ago? Do I have hope for the future, for my children's future, for my grandchildren's future?  Do I believe America is still the land of opportunity, peace, and prosperity?  If you answered "yes" to those questions, then vote for Obama. Why Romney Does Not Get My VoteOct 23, 2012
Some of you may be too young to remember the 1970s and the ERA.  You also may have never heard of Sonia Johnson, a Mormon women who was excommunicated from the Mormon church in the late 1970s for supporting the ERA and equal rights for women.  I had the occasion to speak with her after she wrote a book called "From Housewife to Heretic."  Anyway, long story short, I have firsthand experience as a former member of the Mormon church (and a very loyal, dedicated, and hardworking one ...

Why Do We Vote On Tuesday? Well,Nov 05, 2012
From Smithsonian.com: "The answer, it turns out, has a lot to do with buggies and farmers markets. The Founding Fathers met at the Constitutional Convention in 1787, NPR explains, but at the end of the meeting they still had not resolved a number of questions about how to run an entire nation. One of those issues involved the timing of federal elections. As a quick fix, they decided to leave it to individual states to set their own voting days, which led to several decades of &ldqu ...

Looks Like Democrats Have The 60-vote Majority!Nov 21, 2009
In a show of unity, Senate Democrats sealed a 60-vote majority needed to advance health care legislation Saturday ahead of an evening showdown with Republicans eager to doom the bill and inflict a punishing defeat on President Barack Obama. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and Blanche Lincoln of Arkansas, announced in speeches a few hours apart on the Senate floor they would vote to clear the way for what is expected to be a bruising, full-scale health care debate after Than ...

Must Vote Obama Out To Get Bernanke Out. Sep 15, 2012
The Fed's latest move ("QE3") involves printing even more counterfeit money and doing even more of the same thing while expecting a different result.  And you know what that is - insanity.  But Bernanke hopes it will artificially pump up the economy (although buying up mortgage-backed securities does NOTHING to create jobs or generate real economic growth).
