I read something almost identical - about Obama

[ In Reply To ..]
Just a few years ago. Especially the narcissistic part. We have to do something to turn this country around and I'm putting my money on Trump because Clinton is more of the same and Bernie is worse than the worst. What choice do we have but to hope that a businessman might be able to do something.

I give your post 100 likes - Mrs. Tingles

Just more of the same hate we read a few years ago.

It is time to let the businessman lead us. It will be a lot better than the politicians who have gotten this country into the mess its in.

Besides, if he doesn't do a good job then they can vote him out in the next election.

Not if his arrogant and impulsive behavior - old and burned out

First we don't know who wrote the article. Could have been Hillary for all we know. Heck, I could write an article and say anything I want.

Second Trump does not have a narcissistic personality disorder. He doesn't have an inflated sense of their own importance, because he is very important. If you say that, then every CEO, VP, secretary, engineer, and even MT has NPD. Mr. Trump is a very important man. That is just a fact. He has done a lot in his career and has helped many people. He does things because he is kind. If you want to talk about NPD, then you need to look at the politicians. Clinton, Cruz, etc. They are the ones with NPD.

Mr. Trump has done great things and yes, he has every right to be proud of what he has done with his career and how far he has come, and now as a candidate for the President, of course that is something to be proud of.

The person who wrote the article evidently has a hate disorder for Mr. Trump and he (or she) is grasping at straws trying to pull a little bit of this in or a little bit of that, yet not making any sense. Just flailing at anything he or she can pull in.

He or she must be so ashamed of what they wrote they won't even give their name or their background. They evidently hate Trump, is trying to label him a narcissist, yet they have no credentials or experience or knowledge of the disease to be taken seriously. They pull a sentence in here and there and claim it's true.

Simply put, they don't have the experience to make that diagnosis and the article is laughable.

Oh yes, and BTW, the same exact thing (as the poster above me pointed out), the same thing was said about Obama. It was also said about Bush, Clinton and every other candidate. Evidently put out by the opposing party.

Additionally, the article even says - "Dr. Klitzman added, “I have never met Donald Trump and so cannot comment on his psychological state. However, I think that, in general, many candidates who run for president are driven in large part by ego."

Howard Gardner is not a psychiatrist. In fact reading his bio, he himself has narcissistic personality disorder, so, I would say that would be a no thank you, won't take his opinion on the subject matter.

George Simon (listed in the article) also is not a psychiatrist and has no training to make that determination. He wrote some books. That does not mean he is qualified to make a diagnosis.

Then there is Carol Caldwell. Nobody knows who Carol Caldwell is because it doesn't say who she is or what her background/clinical experience with patients is. It says she "notes". "it has been attested to by psychologists and neurologists. Yet the author does not say which psychologists or neurologists. Could be anybody. Also a neurologist specializes in the anatomy, function and organic disorders of nerves and the nervous system. That's not psychiatry. Also, so observes "he eyes are described as affectless, what we would call cold, or eerily blank in one-on-one or televised exchanges". ROFL. That would be like being a jury member and saying he's guilty because I can see it in his eyes. Besides, that is what she sees. What I and millions of other people see in his eyes is kindness, compassion, and empathy".

So while we are at it, there is Robert Klitman who says "Dr. Robert Klitzman, a professor of psychiatry and the director of the master’s of bioethics program at Columbia University notes that the American Psychiatric Association says that it is unethical for psychiatrists to comment on an someone’s mental state without having examining them personally. But as Alford notes, “you don’t need to have met Donald Trump to feel like you know him; even the smallest exposure can make you feel like you’ve just crossed a large body of water in a small boat with him.”

If you read that again, he says "it is unethical for psychiatrists to comment on someone's mental state without having examining them personally". (I guess just the psychologists and neurologists think they can). He also said that you don't need to have met Donald Trump...yet the rest of his statement doesn't say he thinks he is bad. In fact for all we know he might think the opposite. Whatever anyone thinks he means is all in their minds, since Dr. Klitzman didn't say one way or the other.

The article is basically a hit piece and filled with untruths about Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump has great empathy for the country and it's people. That is why he is running. I am truly thankful we have a great man like Mr. Trump and even though I don't agree with the policies of Bernie Sanders, I respect him for what he is also trying to do for the country. The rest of the politicians are just self serving, lying sociopaths that continue to lie and tell more lies to cover up the lies.

As for the article, well if that is what floats your boat and you prefer to believe hit pieces that have no shred of truth to them, then there is nothing else to be said.

He has done absolutely nothing for anyone except himself. He had defrauded investors as well as those who signed up for Trump U. There are years when he paid no taxes - who did that help - certainly not his country. He is running for self-glorification and gratification. His behavior scares a lot of people, including me!

I think a lot of that "information" is imaginary. - nm

No matter how much you hate him this is a good article.  Cut him down all you want but it won't change the truth.
