Has anyone bought a soft lately they are happy with for a decent price. It

Posted: May 2, 2016

seems nobody has much good to say about sofas unless you spend thousands of dollars which I am not going to do.  This one will be slept on all the time so it has to be made decently but am aware how everything is made anymore no matter what you spend.

You know what that should have been a sofa and I put soft. Sorry. nm - PAMT

Living Spaces has a great selection for very reasonable prices. The Danielle is 8 feet and has plenty of space for a good sleep. 595. not sure if there's one in your area.

How about a memory foam futon? - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
I looked some up, and many are quite reasonably priced. I got my futon a long time ago, so the mattress did not have foam. The memory foam probably makes a huge difference in the comfort.

Had mine for 17 years--what I like - see message

I bought a nice frame and have replaced the mattress once in that time. What I really like is that I can buy different zip-off covers very reasonable and have something different for summer -vs- winter, change color schemes, throw in the washer, etc.

I don't know about memory foam, but that would no doubt be a good thing. If you plan on opening it for a bed, you could buy a memory foam topper and put that on it for sleeping and then take it off and store it with the sheet and blankets.

they do have fold-up memory foam mattresses - sereneone

I was looking for a daybed or a futon for a second bedroom. Ended up going with the daybed with a memory foam mattress but I do remember seeing a 3-part futon memory foam mattress that folded out and up with the futon. Get at least an 8" thick mattress, thicker if it is going to be used for a big person. It was on Amazon that I saw the 3-part mattress, though I'm sure they have them elsewhere as well.

Sofa - I'm in favor of them

I have read that our biggest furniture expenses should be our beds and our sofas. Considering the length of time we have them and the time we spend on them, maybe the cost is justified. I had my last sofa for about 30 years. It was a hide a bed and I replaced it with a new sofa about a year ago, it was less than $1000. I don't use it as a bed, but I have slept on it and it is comfortable. Check out Ashley furniture or a Lazy Boy outlet store if you have one in your area. Sofas really are not meant to be beds, so maybe a futon or daybed is what you need as others have suggested.

I bought a beautiful obviously very expensive sofa and love seat on Craigslist. They looked like new. It came from a very high-endiest, treandiest neighborhood in may area. The extremely well-off couple were redecorating and basically just wanted to get rid of them. It cost me $300 for the set plus another $50 to pay someone to move them.

I Need Some Advice. I Got A Really Decent RefundFeb 29, 2012
this year.  I paid off ALL my cc debts.  I still have a couple thousand left.  How in the world do I not spend it?  LOL!!  May sound like a silly question, but my mind says it is there...spend it!  My mature self says no way!!  Save because you WILL need it sooner or later.  Does anyone have any good ideas on how to "forget" about the money? ...

Any Tips On Finding Decent Doctor?Jul 08, 2010
Went to a new doc after many years of not going.  As I was speaking of a series of upsetting deaths and started to cry a tiny bit, he just kept clicking away on his lap top (and maybe nodded a couple times).  Aside from that, my TSH was in the normal range (but near one end) and no free T3 or T4 were done, but I have had numerous thyroid symptoms for 12 years or so (didn't realize they correlated for several years and never had it assessed).  He said my TSH was VERY normal so ...

I Need A Dry Dog Food For My Small Dog That Is Soft With Smallish Chunks.Oct 06, 2011
I haven't had her for long.  I adopted her from some redneck looking people who were trying to pass her off as a puppy in the Wal-Mart parking lot.  She just looked so sad, and I just had to take her.  She's not a puppy.  The vet said she's at least three years old.  Anyway, I bought kibble and bits and I noticed she roots around in the bowl and eats all the chewy bits.  She will eventually eat the kibble, but it seems like it is too big and too ...

Obama Agency Rules Pepsi's Use Of Aborted Fetal Cells In Soft Drinks - Business As UsualMay 08, 2012
I heard about the story of smuggled capsules of human flesh made in you know where.  As if finding out they eat eggs cooked in urine of small boys was not enough to make me gag.  So, then found that Pepsi uses fetal cells as a flavor enhancer (at least that's my understanding of the article - could be wrong of course).  Then I read that Obama's administration said it's okay to use aborted fetus in Pepsi.  Again, maybe I read that wrong.  Either way, never ...

Price Of Gas Is Going Up, Up And Up. Mar 04, 2012
Lately all you hear about is price of BCP's, but why is no one worried about gas???  I think this is something to really be worried about.  So how will you deal with $5 a gallon gas this summer?  Will this cut into your budget even more and effect your lifestyle?   We know Obama is worried right now, because this will undoubtedly effect his plans for re-election.  Where I live, people are worried about price of food, clothing, and other essentials of daily livi ...

What's The Gas Price In Your Area?Mar 08, 2011

If The Price Is Right - By Chuck NorrisJan 05, 2010
At almost 80 years old, Thomas Jefferson foresaw the corruption of a federal government with too much power, when he wrote to William T. Barry in 1822, just a few years before his death: "If ever this vast country is brought under a single government, it will be one of the most extensive corruption(s), indifferent and incapable of a wholesome care over so wide a spread of surface." "Wholesome care" like universal health care? I waited until the new year to write this column because Washington w ...

Free Speech Apparently Has A PriceJun 06, 2010
Huffington Post also picked up on this.  Guess they will be coming for us next! Free speech seems to be starting the death toll. Such a wonderful government we now have, and those of you that still don't have your eyes opened, better use some toothpicks to prop them open. An article by Nat Hentoff: This is a story that should be a warning to Americans, regardless of political party, because it dramatically illustrates what pre-eminent civil liberties attorney Harvey Silver ...

Here We Go Again! Dems Want To Probe Alleged Gas Price FixingMay 17, 2011
Geez. Every time gas prices go through the roof, they want to investigate, and never find anything wrong, or else they lose interest and it never goes very far. Why do they insist on wasting time? Could it be they don't want to deal with the deficit/debt ceiling vote, or JOBS; i.e., getting people back to work.     Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri on Monday asked federal regulators to investigate potential price fixing by oil companies that could be keeping gasoline prices arti ...

Price Hikes, Layoffs Due To Increased Min. WageJan 24, 2017
This year, my state increased the minimum wage.  The result?  EXACTLY as predicted! Mexican Drug Cartel Allegedly Puts A Price On Arizona Sheriff's HeadAug 04, 2010
He's been at the center of the discussions and controversies surrounding illegal immigration enforcement in Arizona for quite a while. For Anyone Who Has Ever Bought A Home, When MovingMay 04, 2015
any construction or upgrades of any kind? My child is in the process of buying a home. I have bought 2 in my lifetime. The first one was built in the 40s. It was a HUD, repossessed and nothing was needed to make it livable. The second was a fairly new home, 4 years old, and it also was move in ready. My daughter has had a terrible time trying to get the people selling to turn on utilities so it could be inspected. Yesterday told me inspection day. No water on, the inspector could not check the A ...
