Got a nail pedicure and at the same time

Posted: Feb 8, 2016

I was prescribed Jublia. I was told I would use it for a year and the cost to me is $40.00. Heard the medicine was extremely high priced. Has anyone here had any good results with any home remedies I could try instead of the entire year $40.00 each time medication? ;

Use vinegar soaks for 20 minutes once a week. I did one on sundays and one on wednesdays. Took a month to go away.

I've read parts of this article about a year ago. I'm not sure if this is the same doctor or not because I can't remember the name from the previous article I read. Here is the CliffsNotes version.

A doctor who suffered from onychomycosis tried everything available at the time, but nothing worked long term. He researched home remedies, took a 2 month (at least I think it was 2 months) leave of absence and soaked his feet in a vinegar and Epsom salt solution with persistent filing. Problem solved. I hope it helps.

Sounds - Odd, but

try Castor Oil. Research it. It has many remedies that actually work, and it helps grow out sparse eye lashes too. It helped me get rid of some eye floaters, as well. It is some amazing stuff.

I wonder if this old remedy I used to use - for my horse would work? (smsg)

Back in the days when I had a horse, during the winter when he was out on pasture and it was rainy, he would develop a fungus on his ankles that was known locally as "scratches" or "mud fever" (because the skin would swell and become painful if not treated).

An old horseman I knew told me to use sauerkraut juice on it, and it worked. Plus I like sauerkraut, so I always have it around. A fungus is a fungus, right? So maybe it would work on toenail fungus.

If that doesn't work, I also used a medication called "Fungisan", and that worked as well. I think I bought it at a local saddlery.

I put off getting something to use for my toenail fungus because the treatments were too expensive. In Walmart I saw that they had the "Equate" brand, which has the some ingredients as the $20 bottles of name-brand antifungals and was only about $3.00. It works really well!

Nail ThickeningJul 02, 2014
Although the possibility of toenail fungus kind of grosses me out, I'm having to consider this possibility.  I would like some input on whether or not this is possible.  My fingernails and toenails have thickened over the past several years, not yellowed.  I can actually grow really strong fingernails now, which I couldn't ever do before.  The problem comes in trimming my toenails and the thickening.  I'm not really sure it's a fungal issue.  I&# ...

Anybody Use Butter Nail Polish?Nov 23, 2013
Any opinions on Butter nail polish?  Not about the price, but the performance.   I see good reviews on Amazon, but also a few bad ones.  One that has me concerned is a claim that it weirdly peels off like aluminum foil in a day.  That happened when I topped one brand with another, but never one brand alone. There is also a comment that it smells like vinegar 48 hours later.   I am interested in the "top and tails" set, specifically.   Thanks.   ...

Obama's Executive Power Pen Is Already Worn Out Much has rightly been made of President Obama’s promise to bypass Congress and act unilaterally to get things done.  “I’ve got a pen and I’ve got a phone,” he said, threatening to sign more executive orders and blast more messages from his bully pulpit. Since then, defenders have argued that Obama has signed relatively few executive orders compared with other modern presidents.  But all exec ...

The Trump Nail In The Media Coffin.Dec 22, 2016
probably will not often communicate with the nation via traditional press conferences. Nor will Trump likely field many questions from New York/Washington journalists. What we know as "the media" never imagined a Trump victory. It has become unhinged at the reality of a Trump presidency. No wonder the fading establishment media is now distrusted by a majority of the public, according to Gallup -- and becoming irrelevant even among progressives. Once upon a time in the 1960s, all the ic ...

Every one of them has serious flaws, either of character, personality, world view, experience, or philosophy - and in most cases more than one of these - that I simply cannot stomach. In my experience, it's always a choice between the lesser of two evils, but this election cycle seems to have brought out a spectacularly miserable collection of candidates.  And yes, Sanders and Trump supporters, I mean them too - or perhaps especially them too. It looks like I'll be sitting on my ...
