Something I bet 90% of all voters would support

Posted: Feb 4, 2016

We simply have to make it so that no individual or entity in society has the ability to exert special influence on elections, either by means of wealth or position.

I don't care if it's Soros, the Koch Brothers, the owner of a news channel, a corporation, or the editorial board of a newspaper.

I say, keep your greedy hands off our elections!  The most basic tenet of fair elections is that no one enjoys special privileges.  We don't let any of these people vote more than once, so why should we allow them to influence elections in any other way?

Not going to happen - Politicians are greedy & corrupt

[ In Reply To ..]
Politicians want the wealth and the power they receive from Soros, Koch Brothers, the owner of a news channel, a corporation, a newspaper, etc.

The Greedy Hands belong to the politicians who accept the money offered in exchange for making laws to protect the rich "special interests." The political system is corrupt and the "establishment" politicians are not wanting to fix it because they are in it for power and money and not for the voters. Think of the money that was made by Hillary - $675,000 for 3 speeches from Goldman Sachs. Do you think Goldman Sachs gave Hillary that much money without expecting something in return from Hillary? Same deal with all politicians who take money from special interest groups/lobbyists, although on a somewhat smaller scale. Not for nothing do polticians receive the money

The politicians who make the laws is why the United States is in such trouble. The laws have been made to pay back rich contributors and protect special interests (the rich) and the politicians do not give a rat's azz about us, the disappearing middle class voters.

Some voters recognize how the political system works and they back Trump who is not beholden to big money contributors to his campaign so far and I doubt he ever will be.

O'Keefe Documentary Claims To Uncover College Support Of ISIS Support ClubApr 02, 2015
So, I read on a friend's private conservative blog elsewhere that James O'Keefe, a conservative documentary filmmaker, had just "caught red-handed" some college administrators at a university in Florida who were "encouraging and supporting" ISIS supporters.  I like my friend, but, erm, I don't always agree with his politics and  I'm not so sure his assertion is actually the case on this one.  In fact, the blog author wrote his post based on his assumption on a ...

Quoting a pollster on TV just now, and "They suck lemons." (Question: Really negative?) "Omigod, beyond really negative." They're unhappy with everything and everyone, and most probably won't vote. Although they're notably less negative favoring the GOP side, that's hardly an endorsement. If there was a third candidate "those are the people who probably would switch there."  Good news (I guess) for the democratic process is that this dispirited pool has shrunk over ...
