Faux changes criteria

I like Fox. The other "news" outlets have people who - are "publik jornalizm skool"

Curious. What is your criteria for a good "jornalizm skool?" - sm

Is there something wrong with public universities?

Public universities, particularly journalism, are a hotbed for - indoctrination. A true investigative

Nonsense. - sm

I don't know where you get this line of reasoning. I went to a public university and was not "indoctrinated" in any way. This sounds like far-right anti-education theory.
Liberal professors dominant American universities. Look - how many professors speak against the US
[ In Reply To ..]
now. Years ago they would be traitors. Now they have "tenure" and keep teaching anti-American values.
Ward Churchill comes to mind. Yale and the Taliban. - Miseducation on the Constitution,

and look what they are teaching.

Introduction to Witchcraft and Politics, Introduction to Gay and Lesbian studies, Practicing Feminism, courses with a pro-Marxist agenda, Black Marxism. These are at so-called "elite" schools.

At the same time, these same students don't know when the Civil War was fought or the father of the Constitution.
I find that not only high school students but also college age - think this country is a democracy

They teach from an intellectual point of view - having studied and analyzed
[ In Reply To ..]
instead of the knee jerk emotions of the people following the ignorant politician of their choice.

They have analyzed the trends and causes and effects of the policies of the U.S. In "speaking out" against the U.S. they are warning of policy recommendations that will make the same errors of the past or worse.

You should listen to yourselves. You really believe everyone should fall in line and believe the same thing, never questioning, always believing. Fox News is really getting scary. I hope the people of the U.S. maintain our independence and vote against the Republican party.
I didn't know teaching anti-Americanism was - "intellectual" Silly me. I

They do teach how to think--the logical conclusion - questions instead of accepts

I was in one of the most prestigious liberal - Universities in the United States

Plus, in my experience one they get out of college they - expect immediate gratification and
[ In Reply To ..]
think they are going to waltz into high-paying jobs. Some educators do them a disservice.

My husband has a business. He hires people who are willing to work hard, reliable, honest and appreciative. He does not see this attitude in many of spoiled college kids (not all of course).
Ignorance recommended--I fear when it is - "enforced"
[ In Reply To ..]
The attack on real education is the NEW approach for the right to justify their indoctrination by introducing the bible and the new Red Scare or tan (Muslim) to justify their social policies.

This is just another psychological attack and justification by the right to keep people ignorant and try to obtain control. They did this in China, more viciously, when the government sent their intellectuals to hard labor in the fields.

Who would have considered a person as poorly educated as Walker, (having been thrown out of college for cheating and still not making grades), as a candidate for President of the United States?

I know the self-made man holds much allure, because it proves "anybody can do it" and provides hope, but there are some serious drawbacks in the educational deficiencies. The world has become more complicated, not less, and the right dangerously prescribes the most narrow education possible, promoting less understanding of the differences in the world and throwing us back to the "might is right" leadership policies of old. More war, more death.

Another reason for the right recommending the brain-washed, white-washed education, of course, is that they need more warm bodies to send around the world to return maimed and dead. Ignorance is bliss.
I fear not being able to pay my electric bill because of - O's regulations on energy,
[ In Reply To ..]
I fear rate hikes in healthcare because of O's regulations, I fear rationing except for drug treatment, sex change procedures, and abortion (which has sacramental status). I fear Iran and a nuclear war. I fear huge rate increases in all energy bills because of his new rulings.

The deception on the left continues.
Your fear is irrational--study history - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
If not for the EPA, your life could be very different. I don't know about your electric bill, but your health could be very different...oh, and everyone else's too, not that that matters.

I remember acid rain coming out of the power plant in my town of 80,000. I remember the smog in LA. Maybe you are young and have just reaped the benefits of good decisions and now feel emboldened to ignore that and plow on and just worry about your electric bill.

Your fear is very rational. The EPA passes regulations that - should actually be an act of Congress,
[ In Reply To ..]
they are in bed with the "green movement" which is very anti-capitalist involved in radical politics.

The EPA is vastly different than it was 30 years ago. It should be downsized about 80%.
Fear of the EPA is right in line with the Conservative - propaganda--
[ In Reply To ..]
The Conservative moneymakers are affected by regulation, so they have sold it down the line to the masses (via FOX) that EPA is unlawfully controlling and regulating.

These are the same people that don't believe in Climate Change (i.e. real science) and instead promote the Bible as scientific theory.

They fear real education because it questions faith-based decisions with reality.

Yes, EPA guidelines cost money to begin with, but their advantages far outweigh the costs. Sometimes---most times, they are not going to be tangible dollars in the pocket of the individual, so it is expected to be beyond the Conservative comprehension.
Global Warming or climate change or whatever it's called - now is not based on real science,
[ In Reply To ..]
the scientists who oppose it are defunded to shut them up.
See, it is working--Conservative propaganda - promoting conspiracies

Could you explain why the U.S. has to have such - Truthhurts

strict regulations when we have less manufacturing and other industries than we did 30 years ago and the carbon dioxide output in this country has not gone above 0.01% since 2010 (I think that's the amount I read about in a science bulletin)?

Can you explain why China and India are building up their coal-fired plants for electric production, yet the U.N. is not coming down on them?

Can you explain why China has so much smog that people are wearing masks to breathe yet are still they complain the U.S. is the worse country spewing carbon dioxide?

Can you explain why volcanoes aren't included in this study of carbon dioxide elements when there are volcanoes all over the world erupting every day?

Can you explain why the U.N. doesn't think destroying rain forests doesn't create the build up of carbon dioxide?

Probably not. But the scientific studies leave all of the above out and they and the U.N. are forcing the U.S. to make more stringent rules to destroy our way of life.

Can you explain what the U.S. will do with the spent energy from the radioactive rods used for nuclear plants? These scientists want you to forget we have NO PLACE to safely get rid of spent radioactive rods. Remember Chernobyl? That ground will be radioactive for another couple hundred years. Already, the U.S. is destroying our land with nuclear power plant spent rods, yet some of these idiotic scientists are calling for more plants to be built?

It's bull. As another poster stated, it's the green energy co-ops that are trying to kill millions of jobs via wanting THEIR energy products and only their products. In fact, heard this morning on Washington Journal that there are more birds killed in CA due to the windmill farms every year than ever killed by coal or gas fired electric plants AND that the wind farms ARE USING ELECTRIC PLANT ENERGY to keep the impression that they are supplying more electric than normal. This from someone who studied those wind farms for years.

Big Business promotes "green" not - environment
[ In Reply To ..]
I don't accept going backwards on the environment with less regulation. You may have hit the nail on the head with the fact that manufacturing left rather than affording cleaning the environment--they sent it to China. Never should have allowed them to do that. Should have been extreme taxes and tariffs on their products coming back in, but your big money buddies couldn't bear to do that.

China -
Under the deal, the United States would cut its carbon emissions between 26-28% -- from levels established in 2005 -- by 2025. China would peak its carbon emissions no later than 2030 and would also increase the use of non-fossil fuels to 20% by 2030.

Birds and windmills--I guess that is just a First World Problem--netting?

as to Green energy making money--someone is going to make money. I would rather it them than fossil fuel and coal producers
They had to rename it Climate Change - because the idiots

This is just bogus speculation. In any case - it was never a debate in the first place.

[ In Reply To ..]
Although I'm a Republican, this whole thing reminds me more of a circus sideshow, with moderators deliberately poking the beasts in the cages with sticks in order to enrage them for the excitement and amusement of the crowd.

I honestly can't think why any of the candidates agreed to participate in this ridiculous parody of a "debate".

Just saw that at most they will get 10 minutes - each--and some may get less

[ In Reply To ..]
wonder who that group getting less is.

Do you suppose Christie will just go punch somebody in the face? He's on the far left....of the stage, that is.

I think if a person were really interested in Republicans they should have watched the New Hampshire forum Monday night.

Are you young? Debates between candidates have been going - Truthhurts

on for years. Its a way for people to hopefully know what the candidate's solutions to the country's problems are going to be, what they think, what their thoughts and feelings are and without knowing their thoughts and/or solutions, we would only be able to rely on the commercial ads and whatever the media feel like making up about the candidates.

This way if's "from the horse's mouth."

No, I'm not young - which is why I know what a real - debate looks like and it isn't this.

[ In Reply To ..]
Don't take it from me, though. Even Carl Rove said on Fox two nights ago that this isn't really a debate - it's purely a media event.

P.S. I go back to the Nixon era in terms of becoming aware of political issues, so a spring chicken I ain't.

Again, watch the youtube of the forum from - NH--my bet 100X the info
