It's the Conservative way. You disagree with someone from the opposite party so you demonize them and put labels on them and dismiss anything they have to say. What's new? It's their entire party modus operandi.

We can surmise the level of George Roark's intelligence because he was actually dumb enough to put that statement in an email on a government server. Can't get much dumber than that. You may actually contact George at the CDC (see link) and tell him it takes a special kind of stupid........ if he still has a job, that is.

On the contrary, while the skinhead movement got its start as a music- and fashion-oriented subculture, the movement took on racist (white power) overtones starting in the late 60s or early 70s.

The skinhead subculture has included decidedly anti-racist groups as well, but the general cultural image of skinheads remains one of white supremacism and neo-Nazi leanings. This is especially true in the US, where the media has continued to promote this image.

Even Fox news calls skinheads organizations "militant extreme-right groups".

So you see, the term skinhead is definitely not used to refer to the political left (DemAlinsky's) as you claim. The skinhead culture is almost always associated with extreme right-wing culture.

That pretty much sums up my reaction: 'So what?' These guys are essentially a couple of middle managers. The headline (more pointedly, the *Fox* headline) calls them officials, but all that really means is they're acting in a designated capacity. In other words, they're employees.

As for their opinions, it's clear from the context that they were already anti-Obama, using the same tired and uninformed talking points (e.g. 'Marxist') they learned from right-wing outlets. Wouldn't really have mattered what the President did, their opinion wouldn't have changed.

Which is funny, if you think about it, since the President was following the law. I'll give some props to Fox for a change, for actually pointing this out themselves in the article...
