Jindal disqualifies himself

Posted: Jun 27, 2015

Presidential hopeful Bobby Jindal has made it clear that he is not qualified for the position, and even the most ardent conservative should agree. While complaining today about the SCOTUS decision making gay marriage legal, Jindal suggested "If we want to save some money lets just get rid of the court."

This demonstrates without a doubt that Jindal neither understands nor respects the US Constitution, and that he is utterly unworthy to serve this country in any political capacity.

It's your president who doesn't respect The U.S. Constitution. He has demonstrated that time and time again.

BO is also a Pinnochio. He didn't believe in gay marriage when running for office in 2007. Now he has disrespected the White House by illuminating it in gay colors. Maybe that's for the benefit of his _______.

Then Why, take 2? - Blanche

Republicans, especially those with Tea Party leanings, often claim that Obama doesn't respect the Constitution. It has become a standard part of the conservative narrative, repeated endlessly by Faux News and blowhards like Limbaugh.

But here's something I find interesting, and quite telling. Obama has a great deal of opposition in the Republican party. Opposition that has gone on record saying their goal is to end his presidency (and they've been willing to sacrifice the good of the nation in pursuit of this goal). Some of the leaders of those Republicans are politically quite powerful men.

Given all this, why have they not actually done anything about these perceived Constitutional violations? Surely if such a violation had actually happened, it would be a slam dunk. But not one Congressional Republican has drafted an article of impeachment for the Judiciary Committee.

Not one.

They know they can fan the flames among the tea party rank-and-file by making such statements about the President. It's easy, and it costs them nothing. But they also know it's not actually true. They know that there has not been any violation of Constitutional powers by the president, and that any impeachment attempt would backfire terribly. And so they do nothing. Which, come to think of it, has become a hallmark of the Republican Party for the last eight years.

Same for Cruz--says if he were to become - President (hah!) he would eliminate SCOTUS
