Fox's Greta Van Susteren Issues Correction For False Claim

Posted: May 7, 2015

Fox's Greta Van Susteren Issues Correction For False Claim That White House Didn't Call Texas Shooting Terror From the May 6 edition of Fox News' On The Record with Greta Van Susteren, Greta corrects her mistake. (see link) Credit where credit is due to Greta Van Susteren of Fox News. As I pointed out yesterday in the OP where I reported this as yet another Fox News lie, Greta totally got that one wrong. She did, however, step up to correct her mistake. Since it is a conservative trait to go out of your way to somehow prove that inaccurate statements are somehow accurate when they are obviously inaccurate to God and everybody who refuses to remove their red colored glasses, it's a nice change to actually see a conservative step away from their typical lame exercise of attempting to prove a lie is a fact and actually admit they were incorrect. Now if they could just realize all the similar lies that have been told surrounding who called Benghazi a terrorist attack and when and all that totally bogus garbage made up by Fox News surrounding the events in Benghazi and stop spending our taxpayers' dollars on the re- re- re- reinvestigation of the same thing that's already been proven to be totally false and made up, that too would be great. I would hate to see that whole thing backfire on conservatives, and this is totally a lie since I would love to see that whole thing backfire on conservatives in yet another "proceed governor" fashion. Or..... maybe Greta just went to the nearest Scientology auditor she could find and got hooked up to the E-meter, took hold of the magic cans and got herself cleared of the wicked thetans of the evil alien lord Xenu of the Galactic Confederacy? :);

Before it begins, may I just say - :)

[ In Reply To ..]
The comment at the end about Scientology are actual scientologist beliefs, the OP is not making that up. Though the point about her being a Scientologist being irrelevant was a valid one, yesterday, speculation about whether Obama is a muslim and muslim jabs go on here all the time, though that's not relevant either. At least Greta has admitted she's a scientologist, that's not speculation, and these are true scientology beliefs being presented.

Frankly, I'm not sure why the Scientology aspect of yesterday's post was overly focused on and someone got so upset unless they were a scientologist?

Because Greta is an exception, most known celebrity scientologists are libs.

You're telling me a lib completely bypassed the point about Greta and Fox getting a news story wrong in favor of focusing on beliefs?

Possible - but I doubt it.

So it is my opinion that it was actually conservatives who picked up the "respect differing faiths" flag, using it to distract off Greta's mistake, and then suddenly commanded us all to "stop all ad hom attacks with politics", knowing libs would agree with that part, and it worked like a charm, didn't it? :)

Because let's face it, most conservatives are typically Christians, with the extreme far right believing this country should return to Christian values only.

So had the far right not figured out waving the "respect different faiths" flag would work to distract off the point, they'd otherwise be waving $199 Pat Roberston prayer cloths at the OP for even mentioning another faith besides Christianity;)

PS Thanks to OP for posting Greta's correction. - (they didn't have to, after yesterday)

Sorry, but Obama being a Muslim is absolutely NOT irrelevant (sm) - nm

[ In Reply To ..]
He has invited the Caliphate here. Haven't you noticed? He's one of them. That is very relevant.

Facts: Greta is a member of the Church of Scientology and Obama stated he's a Christian - vs - Speculative Opinion: Obama is Muslim

[ In Reply To ..]
Fact #1: Greta Van Susteren and her husband are members of the Church of Scientology.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greta_Van_Susteren

Fact #2: Obama has stated he is a Christian.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/apr/7/obama-blasts-less-than-loving-christians/

Any other opinions regarding their beliefs are speculative opinion.

Fact #3: Though joke opinions about these aspects are sometimes funny, they are still not fact.

Fact #4: There is no evidence to support that religious beliefs affect job performance either positively or negatively.

Obama is Muslim; has said so. - Just because Obama claims
[ In Reply To ..]
Christianity does not make him a Christian, any more than saying you have intelligent posts make it a fact.
No opinion, I stated fact: The Washington Times quoted Obama saying he's Christian w/link - And the source Obama stating he's muslim is?
[ In Reply To ..]
Here is the link again from Washington Times, a conservative news source, with the Obama quote stating he's a Christian:

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/apr/7/obama-blasts-less-than-loving-christians/

We've been over this before. No one provided any source whatsoever where Obama ever stated "I am a muslim" or "as a muslim, I..." so it is opinion.

The closest was an interview with George Stefanolopous where Obama stumbled over his words when quoting others' words about him being Muslim. The fact that there are varying opinions on this prove it is not fact.

Regardless, there is no evidence to support religious beliefs affect ability to do one's job.

Otherwise, the "fox in the henhouse, trying to ruffle feathers" routine is growing very stale and more transparent by the moment. Surely there's some other women's henhouse somewhere, desperately in need of fox attention.
Pick and choose sources to support the hate. Try Google - regarding Imam Obama
[ In Reply To ..]
Google is your friend. You will find all the sources you need where Imam Obama states he is a Muslim.

If you refuse to do the research, I will do it for you at $50.00.hour prepaid.

Bet you will do neither of the above....figures.

Bet that's a nonbiased search "Imam Obama" - Hah
[ In Reply To ..]
Religion is something a person declares. If anyone has real evidence of President Obama being a porcupine I would be interested also.
Seems your personal bais, based on your posts - blocks your view of the truth
[ In Reply To ..]
No one said to google "Imam Obama". Said your posts so quickly trash any truth so you spout your thinly veiled attacks on others.

P.S. Obama DID declare he was a Muslim, but if you ever bothered to research his exact words, interviews, writings, you would know that.
I've no idea who that poster is, but still waiting on a single link to Obama ever - stating he's muslim. But here's more
[ In Reply To ..]
links to him stating he's Christian - from the Christian Post and Fox News, in fact:

http://www.christianpost.com/news/obama-concerned-about-less-than-loving-christians-at-white-house-easter-prayer-breakfast-137070/

http://www.christianpost.com/news/obama-concerned-about-less-than-loving-christians-at-white-house-easter-prayer-breakfast-137070/

I posted the one from the washington times hours ago. If the links Obama stating he is Muslim are as plentiful as this comment claims, what's the holdup in posting even a single link to one?

There is no holdup. We have provided links several times. - Bait?
[ In Reply To ..]
Don't know how many more times we are supposed to provide links. They are videos of him saying it. Not going to take the bait.

He stated he was Christian when he saw all the trouble he was getting when he declared he was Muslim. What better way to hide.
There has never been a link or video posted here of Obama "declaring" he is Muslim - because it doesn't exist
[ In Reply To ..]
And even if such a link or video did exist, if I can post these same links of Obama saying he's Christian over and over every time this accusation is made, so could those claiming they have video of Obama stating he's a muslilm - but they never have, not once.

I should think if this WERE true, those believing this would WANT to post the link and video each time this accusation came up to prove this to others. Curious they don't, isn't it?
Try Google regarding Imam Obama - means?
[ In Reply To ..]
xx
Edited: I did, but not sure what this comment is implying. Links can be provided as easily - as search times, but they're not?
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm not sure of the meaning of this comment I'm replying to, if I misunderstood it the first time and they are just asking that commenter to search to find out what that means to begin with, I apologize. And yet, I still do not understand why people take the time to write comment after comment telling other people to search, but not provide links to support what they declared as fact.

I'm not that commenter, but I searched the term requested and found more discussion and speculation about Obama. I also found "imam" means "prayer leader".

I never found a single link about Obama declaring, stating or even implying he was muslim. This is not the first time this claim has been made, nor the first time no one has made that claim as fact without producing a reputable link or video - and that is because it doesn't exist.

There's actually a couple of really nice, intelligent and honest conservatives on here that get quiet when this happens, and there are some conservative candidates who don't support promoting this ideology.

Why tarnish, discredit and undermine THEM by posting lies?
post to which you replied Try Google - Imam Obama Means?
[ In Reply To ..]
is reference to above where it is stated my bias prevents me from searching the term "Imam Obama." I considered it a waste of time, knowing it would lead me to more right wing nonsense. I absolutely cannot believe this theory has lasted throughout 8 years of his presidency. Just wish it could be another 4---not the debate---the presidency, another 4 years that is.

And no, I do not think the government is plotting to take over Texas with the Jade Helm exercises in order to delay the 2016 election and have Obama remain in office. I really think there people are becoming delusional.
Oh okay, I get it now. Sorry about that! - "links" poster
[ In Reply To ..]
At first I misread it to mean more of us being asked to seek and we shall find on "Imam Obama" being a muslim. Sorry about that!

I agree. But honestly, I don't know if some at the top really believe that. Sometimes I wonder if they're just using the delusional/paranoid belief systems of the ignorants that vote for them so they'll stay in power and avoid conflict from their own constituency. Like Ted Cruz, lol, he really can't be that stupid, he went to Princeton and Harvard. He knows better and he's not crazy unless it's crazy like a fox.

Still no links provided, though I provided mine twice now. - What's the hold up?
[ In Reply To ..]
And I'm sorry, but what is it that's being "hated" again? Not clear on that
The posts following yours proved your point. No - interest in truth, just bashing
[ In Reply To ..]
someone else's POV. Too bad they are not half as clever/funny as they think they are. Those posts I routinely skip...never do anything but hate on people, bash others, hiding behind a few "chosen" links they think that support that garbage. Not interested.
Asking for sources and clarification on what is meant by"hate" is "bashing? - I disagree
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm not the other commenter mentioned, but thanks for "love" bashing on us though:)

So the Washington Times (conservative) DIDN'T quote Obama stating he's a Christian? - check the link again, that's fact
[ In Reply To ..]
I'm pretty sure it's a FACT that they did (along with several other reputable news publications).

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/apr/7/obama-blasts-less-than-loving-christians/

However, if that's a misquote, we'd better cite it as another example of conservative news botch, then.

As for the other facts I listed, they most certainly are proveable statements with the links I provided, even the ones that didn't to include "some found the joke funny", as evidenced by visible comments here.

*Edited for brevity, already made other points above.

So are we all done with arguing trivial aspects of my posts rather than the point or shall we keep going?

In the online story of the rally, CNN used a headline that stated that the real estate mogul urged his supporters in the state to vote multiple times. Check ...

This Whole Wiretapping Claim Seems To BeMar 06, 2017
To me, if there truly was wiretapping, there were reasons for it, although it was not ordered by Obama, if it even happened.  If it didn't happen, it would show how Trump, like his supporters, rely on fake news, and that is just another nail in his coffin.  He really should learn how to act like a president but he can't help himself, he's not presidential material, just an incompetent idiot. ...
