Hillary: "We Made Mistakes" (on our taxes).

Posted: Apr 26, 2015

These people can afford the best tax people that money can buy, but they make "mistakes."  Next year, I think I'll make a "mistake" on my taxes.

The arrogance and corruption these two have displayed throughout their lives seem to be absolutely without any limit and certainly without shame.

Well, if nothing else this provides us with a good opportunity to see what the Democrat party is really made of.

Timothy Geithner, Obama's Secretary of the - Treasury, blamed Turbo Tax

for his "accidental"failure to pay $34,000 in taxes.

Not surprised there. Turbo Tax sucks! - I wont ever use it again

[ In Reply To ..]

So the Secretary of the Treasury gets a pass - for not paying taxes

[ In Reply To ..]
because it's the fault of Turbo Tax.
Those in power should be held accountable to - same laws that we the

This poster said: "Hillary: 'We Made Mistakes' (on our taxes). Everything with them is a mistake."

Another supposed quote from Hillary Clinton that she never actually said. Perhaps if conservatives don't like mistakes, their party could refrain from fabricating quotes.

This poster said: "Well, if nothing else this provides us with a good opportunity to see what the Democrat party is really made of."

Actually, I believe the opposite is true. If right-wing propaganda media keeps cranking out the baseless attacks and quotes that were never said, it says more about conservatives than it does about the opposition.

GOP: Lie, distort, repeat.

No, what the OP wrote is exactly true - Democrats - lie, distort, repeat

[ In Reply To ..]
What else is new from the democrats. That is the basis of their party. Lie, distort, repeat, lie, distort, repeat.

Is that what they are calling it...oh okay then - What a bunch of lying sacks

[ In Reply To ..]
They didn't make "mistakes". Their corrupt butts thought they'd get away with it.

They have no shame at all. No surprise since Billy donated his underwear for a tax write off.

One day their criminal activities will bite them in the you know what.

my brother the attorney and turbotax - all smiles

[ In Reply To ..]
Turbo tax is not so good for the uncomplicated. My brother the attorney always used TTax. He kept telling me to use it. Here's why I don't:

TTax took his tuition payment and used it as a CREDIT (can only be used as a debit). He ended up owing $7500 in taxes.

Yea, the tax code is absurd. Even the IRS doesn't understand it. Don't call them for advice because they will not stand by what they tell you.

Not sure if my taxes are correct. My only statement is "I have no idea if it is right or not. Ask my CPA. That's why I hired him."

Several people have gotten their taxes wrong using attorneys, CPAs and Ttax, and H and R Block. I don't fault Hilary or Geitner or any of those for mistakes on their taxes. The tax code is beyond understanding.

One year I spent 5 weeks trying to determine if my income was or was not taxable (income from a university through a grant that may or may not have been taxable). Never could determine whether it was or was not taxable income. Just went with what everybody else was doing.

"The tax code is complicated". Oh, dear. Won't - wash anyway.

[ In Reply To ..]
These were "mistakes" in tax filings but had nothing to do with complexities in the tax code. They were actually more the kind of thing you see with white collar crime - i.e., commingling personal and foundation funds. Although they are ultimately reflected in fraudulent tax returns, the fraud is actually an accounting fraud.

A first-year accounting student knows that you don't commingle personal and business funds.

Nope, sorry - won't wash.

taxes personal and business - all smiles

[ In Reply To ..]
You're right. You don't mingle personal and business funds.

Dig deeper. Look at the IRS definition of personal and business funds.

Example: Part of my internet cable is business because I use it for work. Now, I have to split off the cable TV, take a percentage of the internet (not the whole 100%), divide the franchises and taxes on the internet, and come up with the business part. Sheesh.

I get a refund from BWC for a 1099 job. Apply that back to the payments made to BWC end up with a credit. So what to do with the credit? Cannot apply to my personal taxes.

Then there's the footpedal, headphones (which theoretically could be personal but aren't), keyboard, mouse, charges for computer repair.

These are expenses, but I doubt that funds coming in are any easier. Suppose I take my personal income to pay for the footpedal, etc.

I am not going to have 2 separate bank accounts because some of my pay goes back towards business and some goes towards personal.

Some business funds are not allowed so have to go towards personal (catered events get real complex).

There is absolutely nothing easy about the IRS rules/regs. That's why we hire specialists. If they cannot get it right, who can?

The taxes that were owed were Social Secuity and - Medicare, pretty straight

The current rate maxes out at 40 percent. But Hillary Clinton and her husband Bill have created a number of tax shelters in recent years to dramatically limit their payment of the very same tax. Kremlin-crazed Trumpophobes Snored As Hillary And Bill Made Russia Great Again.Apr 07, 2017
The Democrats and old-guard news media (forgive the redundancy) are pathologically obsessed with the hypothesis that Team Trump and Russia rigged last November’s presidential election. If Donald J. Trump so much as played Tchaikovsky’s Marche Slav on his stereo, these leftists deduce, he was in cahoots with the Kremlin. Meanwhile, the same folks who spy a KGB agent behind every filing cabinet in Trump’s White House are aggressively apathetic about Hillary and Bill Clinton’s policies, dec ...

A Series Of Strategic Mistakes Likely Sealed Clinton’s FateNov 13, 2016
Just days before the election, after weeks believing that Michigan was safely blue, the pro-Hillary Clinton super PAC Priorities USA polled voters there — only to discover that it was a one-point race. The group quickly poured millions into the state. The Clinton campaign did similarly, and on the eve of the election, aides sent in Clinton herself, as well as her top surrogate, President Obama. It was too late. More at link, including a graphic that is easy to understand. ...

posts below about how unfair it is that cops shoot indivuduals who "make mistakes" like driving off when asked to stop and running when asked to halt.  Why are none of these people held accountable for their actions?  Most have had multiple interactions with police due to their life style choices of stealing, drug related activities, etc.  Why this great sympathy? So, More Taxes On The Way?Jan 28, 2013
Congress is poised to clear the final $50 billion chunk of emergency aid for Superstorm Sandy relief Monday — and in one vote, it will have used up all the new tax money President Obama won by raising rates on the wealthy in the “fiscal cliff” deal. The tax deal that Congress and Mr. Obama reached in early January cut taxes overall but let them rise on individuals making more than $250,000 a year and families with income of more than $300,000. Those increases brought the government som ...

Liberals And Romney's TaxesAug 01, 2012
First of all, liberals don't understand that no one BUT liberals care about what taxes Romney did or did not pay as long as he complied with the tax code that was in force at the time he filed his taxes. It has long been a very well-established principle that no one is obliged to pay one cent more in taxes than the law requires - and LIBERALS make better use of that principle than anyone.  In fact, there are plenty of liberals who take, shall we say, "questionable" advantage of the ta ...
