Looks like Al Sharpton has a new buddy

Posted: Apr 25, 2015

Is he laying low because of the tax controversy and people getting wise to his race baiting?

The new agitator is Malik Shabazz. He's heading up the Baltimore protests. When are people going to get some smarts and realize that these guys are just inciting for the purpose of keeping hate alive ? Those protesters dont' realize who Shabazz is and if they did, would they still act like animals? Shabazz is now head of a racist group, the "Black Lawyers for Justice," but he is better known as being the former National Chairman of the NEW BLACK PANTHER PARTY.  He's just another race baiter and people are falling for it. What a shame.

Don't they know that investigations take time? Or do they just want an excuse and love to disrupt? The more people protest, the more they will be hated for what they're doing. Don't they realize that they're being set up and these so-called group leaders would just love a racial civil war. I just wish people would wise up. Nothing can be accomplished by the type of protests headed by racists.

That's the end of my vent for today. Dislike all you like but that's my opinion and that's who Shabazz really is.

At least you have the guts to put in words what a lot of people think but won't say. Racism is very much alive in all races.

Oh, is that what she said? I didn't get that. - nm

You asked: "When are people going to get some smarts and realize that these guys are just inciting for the purpose of keeping hate alive ?"

Why focus on that when it merely obfuscates the big picture?

A better question is: When are people going to realize that segment after segment regarding race, religion, and class that is cranked out daily by right-wing propaganda media is designed for exactly the same purpose, to incite hate and to fan the flames of these issues in order to scare their audience into believing that African Americans, Mexicans, and Muslims are the enemy that are out to get them and take away that to which they tell their viewers that they are otherwise entitled? Stories like: Barack and Michelle Obama took two different planes to California and spent your tax dollars for the airfare, as if it was actually money you would have gotten had they travelled together. Oh, how selfish of those people to take your money blah, blah, blah ad nauseam........... fanning the flames, playing into fears, keeping people mad and agitated. Meanwhile, American corporations are moving our jobs overseas in order to secure cheap labor to make higher profits and in order to better shelter their profits from United States taxation, reaping the profits from Americans but paying little back to the country they claim to love.

Right-wing media propaganda and the rich people who own it have a vested interest in keeping you blaming your fellow Americans and paying no attention to the guys who are really taking your jobs. Get it? If you're blaming the poor and the "others," you're missing the big picture. It's getting awfully tiring hearing people bash the poor for getting food stamps or incessantly whine about "illegal immigrants" and blame them for the lack of jobs in the United States as if the reason so many people are unemployed or underemployed is because the poorest of the poor are stealing coveted jobs of picking produce covered with pesticides in dangerous conditions, jobs that educated people in the U.S. would refuse to take. Hey, blame the poor guy for being out of work and blame the immigrant for taking "your" job, but pay no attention to the fact that an illegal immigrant can't take a job unless a domestic company/corporation is willing to break the law in order to employ illegals, thus again bypassing the paying of taxes and other obligations that employing you would incur. American's jobs are being slashed because of corporations moving overseas, automating jobs, cutting staffs, forcing fewer employees to work harder and longer hours.

The richest 1% in this country are creating an impoverished populace as a precursor to corporate fascism. Corporations are now legally people with rights that supersede your rights, and even some corporations like Hobby Lobby are now legally religions with rights that supersede their employees' rights. Corporations need people to turn on each other to take the heat off of them, where it belongs. If you're busy focusing on Al Sharpton and Al Sharpton's "tax controversy" and you're busy blaming the "other" guy for taking "your" livelihood, then you won't be concerned with the rich guy running the corporation that illegally hired the immigrant, and you won't blame the other rich guy who owns the corporation that made the decision to send his company and/or your job overseas.

Where is the outrage for that?

appears to be limited to those of us who understand what is going on in this country. Conservatives continue to try to divert our attention with issues that pale in comparison to the loss of our democracy and the fact that 99% of all new wealth created is going to the top 1% who already have an obscene amount of wealth, power and influence. I wish I knew how to convince some of these posters that the real issues are the ones you cite but I don't though I applaud you for trying.

I think you misunderstand many conservatives. We know - that printed money is going

[ In Reply To ..]
to bail out Wall Street, and we know that many big businesses are in bed with the White House. That is the true meaning of the word fascism.

I think you need to look into how closely aligned the Democrat party is to Wall Street. Both parties are. As far as the Republicans, they left me a long time ago. There are very few conservatives left in the party.

All I want it smaller Constitutional government and more personal responsibility. Strange how controversial that has become.

Bye, bye, Miss American Pie. May a phoenix rise from your ashes.

now controls the government and not the other way around. Because of the huge amounts of money it takes to run a campaign ALL candidates are beholden to those who contributed. We will not have a truly representative government until we change the system.
It's a two way street. One wants money for power (government), - the other wants a favor

Have you seen the partial list of countries - who have contributed to

[ In Reply To ..]
Hillary Clinton? Not to mention illegal, but now indebted to them. Wonder where her loyalties are.
Since when is it illegal for a charitable foundation to receive contributions? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
It's not. The contributions are made to the Clinton Foundation, national global organization, a charity that was started in 2001 by Bill Clinton. Most of the money from foreign countries is earmarked for specific projects and grants, like AIDS relief and earthquake relief to Haiti.

Conservatives have built up this entire false scenario acting as if this charity that has been around for 14 years now is some kind of Super PAC that has been funding Hillary Clinton's political campaigns.

More baseless claims and fabrications brought to you by the GOP party of lies, propaganda, and distortion.

as problematic.
The GOP fear-and-smear campaign caused that to happen. - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
The Red Cross is also on that watch list. Whenever there's an allegation made against a charity, they are automatically put on the watch list by Charity Navigator. The GOP's smear campaign has caused that to happen. It means nothing except the same old GOP smear campaign out in full force for the public to witness. As the Charity Navigator explains on the site:

"Charity Navigator, as an impartial evaluator of publicly reported financial, accountability/transparency and results reporting information, takes no position on allegations made or issues raised by third parties, nor does Charity Navigator seek to confirm or verify the accuracy of allegations made or the merits of issues raised by third parties that may be referred to in the CN Watchlist. However, given that our primary obligation is to donors, Charity Navigator has determined that the nature of this/these issue(s) warrants highlighting the information available so that donors are aware of the issues in question which may be relevant to their decision whether to contribute to this organization."

This charity has been around since 2001 helping people all over the world. Republican politicians have routinely been involved with the Clinton Global Initiative and their work throughout the world. So now, all of a sudden, the GOP wants to smear this organization that they have been involved with all these years?

Don't you think people will see through the GOP's dirty tricks on this? This is not about the charity; this is about the GOP's "win at all cost" campaign to smear Hillary Clinton. They don't care who it hurts. How sickening and pathetic.

I didn't leave the GOP, the GOP left me.
The GOP is bringing America down and trying - to take it backwards in time.
[ In Reply To ..]
The GOP is no longer a viable party for picking presidential (or ANY) candidates from. The GOP needs to be dismantled and eliminated, in the hope that something more forward-thinking and less oppressively fundamentalist can be formed instead.

It looks like Melissa Harris Perry is following in Al Charlatan's footsteps as well with her apparent tax evasion. Maybe that's a prerequisite to work at MSLSD.

I take great objection to the characterization - of protestors acting like "ANIMALS"

[ In Reply To ..]
I think the police act like animals in the way they subdue and mistreat.

At this point in the evolution of this issue (a continuing issue, across the nation) the protests are, once again, necessary to bring to light the police aggression against everyone, and, especially the black community. The black community is usually targeted because they do have a higher incidence of crime-related issues, due to poverty, discrimination in education, housing and employment (it is a circular argument and a cycle that many community leaders are trying to address). It is an all encompassing issue, not so simple as conservative media would have you believe.

I don't hate the protestors. Anyone upsetting the calm, head in the sand balance of life, will be disliked to some degree, it doesn't mean that it is not necessary. Look at the March in Selma. Tell me the community there didn't "hate" those people, but in the end quite a bit of progress was made from those times. Sure, in retrospect it is obvious that blacks were abused and discriminated against, murdered and injured unjustly in the 1940s-1960s, resulting in those types of protests. Fifty years from now, we will see how bad this was too. I would like people to be on the right side of history this time. There are a lot of very ashamed and embarrassed individuals from the 1940s to 1960s.

Shabazz was a part of the Black Panthers Movement, which is a scary sound, now isn't it, but really wasn't much effect at all, just another form of the civil rights movement and not particularly successful or effective. Does the name Ku Klux Klan name evoke the same scary feelings? Or Tea Party for that matter?

Shabazz participated in the Ferguson protestors as a peacekeeper, trying to calm the reactions of youth that feel they really have nothing to lose in promoting violence in the protest situation. He has become the voice of reason, perhaps a voice that will be listened to by the fringe protestors.

Or, I suppose you can just keep sending out the jackboots and have them hold more and more people down by the neck, severing more and more spinal cords and spirits.

The real "animals" are Baltimore's thug police. - nm
