COMCAST DROPPED THEIR BID for Time Warner

Comcast decided the hassle from the regulators wasn't worth it (my words, but words to that effect).
Staff attorneys at the U.S. Justice Department’s antitrust division are nearing a recommendation to block Comcast Corp.’s bid to buy Time Warner Cable Inc., according to people familiar with the matter.
Attorneys who are investigating Comcast’s $45.2 billion proposal to create a nationwide cable giant are leaning against the merger out of concern that consumers would be harmed and could submit their review as soon as next week, said the people. The division’s senior officials will then decide whether to file a federal lawsuit seeking to block the tie-up.

[ In Reply To ..]Their customer service is the worst I have ever seen. They try scamming you, trying to charge us $66.00 for a service call because their modem was not working. Said we needed to buy their insurance plan for $4.95 a month or they can charge us even if it is THEIR equipment. Called their home office and after hours and days of working on this was told no we do not pay for service call if their equipment is bad.
Check out their website, it is nothing but complaint after complaint after complaint about their customer service.
In the area I am in we can only get Comcast and I wished I would have known that before we bought this place.
Everything about Comcast is a lie and I am glad they are being blocked. I could only imagine the customer service then.
