Harry Reid's brother admitted HE beat up Harry.

Posted: Apr 15, 2015

Larry (Harry Reid's brother) claimed he and Harry got into a family argument, then a physical altercation, resulting in Harry being beat up and sent to the hospital.  These sources are far more accurate than the source Harry used to try and discredit Mitt.

Maybe Harry should have called the Hildabeast since she beat the crap out of Willie Lump Lump regularly.

From the looks of it, Hawwy's boxing days nothing but a distance memory....that is, if his memory is still intact after the thumping Larry gave him.

Based on history, I'd say Rush Limbaugh is a safe bet. - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
It's not uncommon to see the subject of Rush Limbaugh's conspiracy theories hit the board the day of the broadcast or the next day.

This one sounds like it might have at least an ounce of truth to it, in my opinion, and I am a liberal. Harry Reid's brother is a drunk, and I could actually believe his brother might have done this to him.

If my brother got drunk and beat me up, I wouldn't rat him out either. I'd come up with some kind of story that didn't implicate my idiot brother no matter what my politics or his happened to be.

If this turns out to be true, I guess what happens in Vegas doesn't necessarily stay in Vegas.

Yeah, likely Limbaugh proposed it as a possibility - and the right took it as gold

[ In Reply To ..]
Nothing that man says is gold and rarely credible.

I don't believe it. He probably just doesn't want to admit (sm) - LM

Why is this even being discussed? - No ones business what happens in personal life

[ In Reply To ..]
You're doing exactly what I have heard many say on this board. Don't want government in our homes but its okay for you to go in theirs. What happens in their personal lives is none of our business and I sure would like to see just one of them come out and tell the public just that. Whether or not they can perform their elected duties is all you need to worry about.

you remind me a bunch of old biddies sitting in their rocking chairs with their knitting needles in hand just gossiping away with their knitting group - Did you see the fat butt on that one, so and so is having an affair, did you see that hair, and on and on and on.

Never had an opinion about thier personal life and I ask you to prove your accusation. Show me one post I have ever made on this board personally attacking any politician personally.

Now for once please prove your accusation.

The only thing I have said about Michelle is she is a racist. She went on TV and said how finally she was proud to be an American. That made her fair game then.

Different situation here. Harry Reid did not come out on TV and tell everyone his brother beat him up. If he did we wouldn't be having this conversation. But he didn't.

[ In Reply To ..]
your constitutional rights are violated if someone put your life under the microscope. That is my definition of a hypocrit. Screaming of constititional rights yet you don't care about the constitution when it comes to others and spreading your vile intrusions into their lives.

It is those type of "people" (and I use that word loosely) that is what is wrong with this country. They seem to think their opinion is the only opinion that counts. Then when people disagree with them they resort to name calling, and messages that have no intelligent content to them at all.

And if I am a DemAlinsky, a left, right, commie, lib, or anything else it is none of your business.

I would hate to live such a narrowminded life, so full of hate and so self-centered and perfect.

And for all of you that have been participating in this thread and think its okay to intrude in the personal lives of our politicians I have a suggestion. Why don't you run for a seat or even for the presidency so you can make all these horrible injustices that you see in this country go away. Poof gone.
Agree--does it matter if his brother did hit - him? So, his brother has issues
[ In Reply To ..]
This goes to more of the aristocratic categorization of people coming from "good families" and being guilty by association.

People are individuals with individual histories, accomplishments and tragedies. I don't care what Harry Reid's brother did. It is unfortunate, if he did this to Harry Reid, but perfectly understandable that Harry Reid might not want to have washed this laundry in public and it is Harry's decision if he wants to blame it on his exercise equipment.

P.S. I for one have been attacked by a treadmill (my own stupidity) I reached down to pick up my towel (I always laugh when I think about it), but it was a rough ride down. I was only 20-something. Can't imagine at his age having this sort of thing happen and find it completely possible that it was his exercise machine accident.

elect to be in the public eye and are aware (or should be aware) of the ramifications of that. If they didn't want the scrunity and/or didn't want to be idolized by their adoring fans, they should not have entered the public forum. Simple. You reap what you sow. Public figures are fair game.

Their sick and twisted lives affects their political decisions and the "dung" they fling at us.

AND since Sarah Palin's personal life, her daughter Bristol, Bristol's ex-boyfriend Levi Johnston, Bristol's son Tripp and her personal life to include the condo she bought, and Sarah's special needs child, Track, and how "stupid" their names are, hunting expeditions and reality show, her personal life, her husbands personal life, Mitt's personal life, Trey Gowdy's hair, etc, etc, etc, etc are all discussed here, so too can democrat politicians be discussed here.
does your personal life affect the way you do your job? - or do you do it to the best of your ability every
[ In Reply To ..]
If you answer that question yes you do your job to the best of your ability every day then you statement is wrong.

Because you make less money now then 10 years ago do you not give 100% but you are saying if they have a bad day or bad situation at home they can't perform their jobs.

Then anyone that works and has issues at home should be fired and ridiculed whether its true or not.

I am not making excuses for anyone who attackes someones personal lives or family. That is wrong on any side and if I read that post regardless of what party they belong to I will speak out against it.

I didn't like Bush Jr., but never attacked his personal life and did not participate in any such conversation.

So for me it does not have anything to do with what party they are from. It has to be with what is right because before they are a politician they are a human being and those of us that live in glass houses shall cast the first stone. We all have things in our private lives we don't want everyone to know. And just because you are a politician should make no difference IMO.
Of course it affects the way I do my job - and my statement is correct
[ In Reply To ..]
and I do it to the best of my ability.

The thing is we are not politicians and if I want to discuss my personal life I certainly don't do it here.

Politicians personal lives certainly do affect how they do their jobs. And since republicans personal lives are discussed here so can democrats personal lives.

I never said in my post that you personally attacked any politicians personal life, so my post didn't have anything to do with you, but it did have everything to do with the hypocristy that some people think it IS okay to attack republicans/independents personal lives, make fun of their kids, or the way their hair looks, start discussing their kids personal lives and aquantances, their wives, husbands etc and we are told they are a politician so their lives are fodder, yet when a democrat politician is being discussed some believe that should be forbidden.

So since it is okay to talk about republicans personal lives, since we are told so by some liberals who want to post about their personal lives, it IS okay to talk about liberal politicians personal lives.

So, yes, my statements and posts were correc.
I very much thank you for your civility and honesty - we need more of that on both sides
[ In Reply To ..]
And although I agree that it is done on both sides that does not make it right.

The bashing, whomever is doing it, shows what type of character these individuals have.

In no way did I take your post as directed at me and hope I didn't make you feel as if I was saying it was directed at me.

But to be able to have conversations about the candidates and the upcoming election all of this has to stop with the name calling. We all are entitled to our opinions even if they disagree.

All I am saying is when the dems do it they are wrong and when the pubs do it they are wrong too. So is there no solution to this at all? No one is going to take the first step to be able to have a conversation without it getting side tracked?

I am on the fence about a lot of issues on both sides, of whom I am going to vote for and what direction I would like to see this country go, but with all the attacks the meaning of the post gets lost.

If someone likes Obama (and I might question why) that is still their right, but anyone who does would be stupid to come on this board and say that. They will get the beat down of their life. Why? That is their opinion. You don't have to agree with it but they are entitled to it.

There is no respect for someone elses opinion on this board. That is a shame.
Never saw this faux outrage when Reid was a proven - liar about Romney - Good for the goose/gander
[ In Reply To ..]
Oh wait - I just realized who I responded to. Only your rules matter when YOU think appropriate and dictate what is "right" to everyone else.

Hypocrit is right.

That's funny, Kruz, Rubio, Romney, and Palin and even Palin's daughter's - personal lives discussed here - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
And when it was questions what it had to do with politics we were told "they are public figures".

So that's why this is discussed here. They are political people. If posters can rag on republican politicians personal lives then there is nothing wrong with writing about democrat politicians lives.

We all know how the DemAlinsky's love hypocrisy. They - put Republican lives under a microscope

for everything from their hair cuts (yes as juvenile as that is) to what they pay for a blouse.

Mooch gets a pass on her $800 "work" boots though, not mention the hundreds of thousands Obama has paid for golf.

Willie Lump Lump's nonstop extramarital escapades are to be ignored (but those same posters posted for months about Romney's magic underwear and thought they were hysterical).

I do believe those DemAlinsky's were suffering from a form of hysteria...only they were not funny, just pathetic in their double standard hypocrisy of all things.

Researched... - katem

[ In Reply To ..]
Well, I researched as several posters suggested as they were not able to provide sources. The rumor that Harry Reid's brother beat him up and that it was not an exercising equipment accident was started by Rush Limbaugh and picked up by multiple conservative "news" sources. If anyone has other sources that are non-partisan that can back up the claim, I would be very grateful if you could provide them. Thank you.
