Looks to me like somebody DOES support iegal discrimination. Personally, profesionally, and even governmental discrimination! So government spending and intervention are okay as long as they approve what goes on in your bedroom. Got it. And that is monitored how exactly? I guess it doesn't matter that Ryan White himself obtained AIDS as a child from blood transfusions as a hemophiliac. Just sexual preference matters before they'll help treat you as if it's a choice. *I did edit that post for typos or to make points clearer, like I always do if I have time, but that sentence remained untouched because I'm just not that ignorant. Of course the illnesses above are not always caused one factor, no. However, type 2 diabetes, hyperlipidemia and hypertension can go away or become negligible exclusively by "making better choices" such as diet and exercise alone in people that have no genetic predisposition, so that tells you the significance of being overweight. And they can be better controlled by diet and exercise even in people that do have genetic predisposition. Heart disease, though contributed to by the above, not so much, Once it's damaged, it's damaged. Also diets high in fat are linked with colon cancer. There's a reason doctors refer to poor eating habits as "dietary indiscretion." As for drinking or smoking, we all know that's not good for us and can lead to cancer and other diseases.

We can pretend we're not largely responsible for our own nonsexual "indiscretions" that cause our own chronic illnesses and blame genes OR we can take as much personal responsibility for contributing to our own chronic illness as those who believe being gay is a choice and they should take responsibility for their own AIDS. Even if that were true, that being gay is a choice, that'd simple behavioral risk and consequence, then, just like every other "indiscretion" rather than God's punishment.

As for being gay and genetics, we're not sure it ISN'T genetic yet. People do have extra chromosomes or sexual chromosomal abnormalities causing gender inspecifics/indistinction or bigender presentation. Who's to say the genetic issue isn't in the brain itself and we just can't see it? In fact, why do we even have children born with these chromosomal "abnormalities" if God doesn't make mistakes?

Because maybe the lesson isn't for them OR the gays to learn, maybe God's lesson is for us as a society; to learn how to deal with and show compassion towards people who are different from ourselves; truly loving our neighbor as we do ourselves.
