Conservatives like to pretend that the debt and deficit were all created in January 2009 - sm

The day Obama was sworn in and everything turned bad in an instant.

Thanks, Obama!

LOL

Like they never heard of Bear Sterns or Lehman Brothers - LOL. nm

DemAlinsky's like to pretend that Obama did not rackl - up over 8 trillion in debt in 6+ years

[ In Reply To ..]
More than the total debt prior to Obama dictatorship.

The war being placed on the credit card and - Obama's refusal to continue that

[ In Reply To ..]
Accounts for a lot of that.

Never again should we allow those warmongers to make that a separate cost. Everything should be in the budget and the accounting, INCLUDING the monstrous cost to veterans' health and lives.

"Comedy Stop" is the - fifth category from the bottom - great place for

What is funny about it? - It is true

Can you prove it is not? If you are going to attack my post and make a flippant remark at least please explain your sentiments.

Under Heil Obama, let's not forget the credit downgrade - borrowing from China in

unprecedented amounts.

Stimulus that did not work.

Shovel ready jobs that were a lie.

Billions with a "B" going to ILLEGAL ALIENS.

TENS OF MILLIONS spent on Obama and Mooch's vacations.

More people then ever before in history on food stamps because of Obama Kenseyian stooopid economics.

More soldiers killed under Obama.

That's just to name a very, very few things that Obama has done that affected the economy in a negative way.

Crickets DemAlinsky's?

You'd like debate on the actual issues? Okay, let's dance :) - Independent

Let me be clear before I begin my portion of the debate on the table - I am no longer a fan of Obama, regret my decision to vote for him, and would never vote or support him for any federal public office again, predominantly because we were too broke for Obamacare and the Asian Free Trade Agreement, as well as he should've anticipated the resistance against him and had countermoves in place.

However, having said that, gross misrepresentation of facts always amuses me, so I'll take this bait, I'm your Huckleberry. (Movie reference;)

You stated:

"unprecedented amounts (of debt to China)."

My rebuttle:

"Though Clinton began the outsourcing fiasco, may I remind everyone that it was called the "North American Free Trade Agreement"? Which means by definition, Canada and Mexico. The last time I checked, China and India were NOT North American and outsourcing to these countries did not begin, nor was it pushed for with tax breaks and incentives offered, until the Bush administration. Several links have been provided for that in posts that were ignored previously that I'm not going to regurgitate here - find them here in other posts or elsewhere, it's not that hard. Not to mention, many politicians from BOTH parties have gotten caught with their hands in the Chinese cookie jar."

You stated:

"Stimulus that did not work."

My rebuttle:

"Yeah, because those little "stimulus" checks Bush sent us for $150 in late 2008, when the market crashed and economy actually fell (and before Obama was elected) were so helpful, as was pushing for tax breaks and other incentives to companies that OUTSOURCED OUR JOBS to India and China. Neither method worked, ergo, one of the reasons why I don't endorse Bush OR Obama. And you don't buy products on credit made in China? If so, neither of us have room to talk"

You stated:

"Shovel ready jobs that were a lie."

My rebuttle:

"Can't refute that, that one's true. He has failed us on this one, but also if he had tried to use federal money to create federal jobs, Ted Cruz and Rand Paul would have dressed up as Captain Jack Sparrow, zip-lined over the Congress floor like swashbucklers and attempted to shut down the government again over too much government spending over it."

You stated:

"Billions with a "B" going to ILLEGAL ALIENS."

My rebuttle:

"Source please? I can't provide one to dispute you. Then again, how can we prove or disprove that millions went to illegal aliens if they are undocumented? By definition, then, they are paid under the table and therefore that information cannot be ascertained."

You stated:

"TENS OF MILLIONS spent on Obama and Mooch's vacations."

My rebuttle:

"That's almost not worth gracing with a rebuttle. Sources, please, proving their vacations cost "Tens of millions" and that any federal government funds were used whasoever on these vactions? I can't refute this claim because I can't find any sources to substantiate or refute this accusation.

You stated:

"More people then ever before in history on food stamps because of Obama Kenseyian stooopid economics."

My rebuttle:

"What is Kenseyian stoopid? Are you referring to the Kinsey reports? Please stay on topic, people's sexual history has nothing to do with this. However, if you meant "Kenyan-stupid" economics, I wasn't aware the people of Kenya even have food stamps. However, I've no doubt your source is correct that more people than ever are on food stamps in the US; however, we cannot blame just Obama for this. Perhaps that has more to do with unemployment due to economic collapse WHICH BEGAN IN FALL 2008 BEFORE OBAMA WAS ELECTED, and has, within the last year, partially recovered (not to my satisfaction, however, and thus one of the reason I'd not vote for him again, not enough work on this, too much on the Asian Free Trade agreement)."

You stated:

"More soldiers killed under Obama."

My rebuttle:

"President Bush was only at war for 5 years of his presidency, Obama will be all 8 years of his presidency, and when he tried to pull us out, Al-Quaeda resurged AND ISIS proliferated? Again, dang the guy if he does, dang him if he doesn't. And I saw varying statistical reports on this, both valid, comparing apples to oranges, some even forcing the reader to subtract out for themselves soldier and civilian deaths and the compare them to Bush figures, as well as having to subtract out both civilians and soldiers from ISIS-related deaths, when ISIS has not been Al-Quada affilated since 2006, and whose actions have nothing to do with 911 and are not exclusive towards the US."

You stated:

"That's just to name a very, very few things that Obama has done that affected the economy in a negative way. Crickets DemAlinky's?

My rebuttle:

"First of all, be sure and say 'Hi" to Ted Nugent for me, for coining phrases like 'DemAlinksy', these, while hiding in his underground barracks from the Russians and imagining listening devices are in his Spam. Do try to gently explain to him, though, that though the Russians can still be aggressive, the Cold War has been over for some time, as well as tell him that calling Democrats things like "DemAlinksky's" is not only unoriginal and untrue, but absurdly irrelevant. Lastly, to the "crickets" comment, I can't speak for the Dems as a registered Independent, but no crickets here - in fact, please bring more, it's highly entertaining, like Fox News."

PS - Oh, just one more thing "Heil" is a term used in Nazi Germany, who were far-right fascists, not Communists, which defeats your entire point. However, I agree with you, fascists and communists ARE extremists, just two different political sides of the same coin

Telling debate opponents/dance partners they're not "well-read" enough is polite? - Independent
[ In Reply To ..]
Thanks, duly noted. I've written that down as proper etiquette; however, I guess I won't be able to read it since I'm not "well read" enough to dance with. I am truly "faced." I stand before you "totally faced, dude" by that "well-read" and "polite" political debate buttle.

Not really. Because as I've stated previously, when only cheap-shot insults at others' intelligence - outside the context of the inclusion of an actual political debate point - it's an obvious attempt to distract off the fact that the insulter has no debate-point rebuttal, and therefore can ONLY provide insults at her opponent's intelligence as subterfuge cover.

That's fine, if I'm not "well-read" enough for you, I'm sure there are others who will ask you to substantiate the claims you just threw out, who will be be more than happy to debate with you - and you can be sure many on here are a lot less polite than I am;)
OP never mentioned YOU. Merely specified her preferences and - limited her comments to HER dance partners

The stimulus plan started under Bush and Obama carried it on. They both failed at stimulating the economy. You don't stimulate the economy by giving the money to the huge poorly run corporations without tons of strings attached. If they would have given the money to the bottom of the food chain, meaning us the little people, there would have been no need for a stimulus package and we would have gotten the economy going. Instead the corps hoarded the money and did not create jobs as they were supposed to.

Secondly the government cannot create jobs. The stimulus package was supposed to do that. Although I never understood how that was going to happen, which didn't.

Obama did not create the wars. The wars were full blown when he took office so that was inherited. Everyone was screaming to get out, he ended it and now everyone is screaming look at the mess left behind. It was a war that we should never have been in. The blood of all our boys and girls are on Bush's hands for lying to the American people about weapons of mass destruction but there were none. The war was supposed to be in retaliation of 911 which it was not.

The rest Obama has to carry. But you can't blame everything on him. The economy was in the tanks before he got in office.

Followup To The Budget Terminations/reductions In The Obama PlanApr 12, 2011
I'm not done looking at different reactions to FY2012. This one came from the National Taxpayers Union. It makes you stop and think how many times over the years this style of termination/reduction has been put in place by all other Presidents.    Despite some worthy attempts at spending restraint, President Obama’s latest budget plan relies more heavily on new revenues, rosy economic assumptions, and accounting shifts than many taxpayers would expect, according to a speci ...

Fact Checking Obama's Budget SpeechApr 22, 2011
Some very interesting info in this article.  President Barack Obama misrepresented the House Republicans’ budget plan at times and exaggerated its impact on U.S. residents during an April 13 speech on deficit reduction. Obama claimed the Republicans’ "Path to Prosperity" plan would cause "up to 50 million Americans … to lose their health insurance.” But that worst-case figure is based in part on speculation and assumptions. He said the GOP plan would repla ...

Obama Defends Plan To Act On Immigration: CBS InterviewNov 10, 2014
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama defended his plan to use executive powers to implement some immigration reforms, saying in an interview broadcast on Sunday he had waited long enough for Congress to act.  Obama told congressional leaders on Friday he would try to ease some restrictions on undocumented immigrants, despite warnings from Republican leaders that such actions would "poison the well" or would be "a red flag in front of a bull."
