Republican congressman plan for the homeless

Alaska Dispatch News Don Young suggests introducing wolves as solution to homelessness Becky Bohrer|Associated Press March 5, 2015 JUNEAU -- U.S. Rep. Don Young lashed out at congressional members who urged continued protections for the gray wolf in parts of the Lower 48, saying none is from a district affected by wolves. He said during a hearing in Washington, D.C., that he would like to introduce wolves in their districts: "I'd introduce 'em in your district, you wouldn't have a homeless problem anymore.;

Certainly an insight into his character - big picture

That is a very ugly statement he made and it tells you a lot about him.

Wildlife issues are local issues, but they do not know state lines. Our area currently has an overpopulation of wolves due to the weather circumstances of the last couple of years. However, the wolves in our area, also live across the state border and apparently the wolves do not recognize the boundary lines. Also, I do not approve of the hunting methods of the neighboring state using cruel trapping (and that also endangers lives of domestic pets).

Just like with fluctuating deer and fish populations, there needs to be regulations that can be applied intelligently and humanely.

Homeless population - sm

has grown by leaps and bounds thanks to BO and his failed policies. His dependency population is growing just as he wants.

Yet 60 months of job growth - who wants?

[ In Reply To ..]
I guess President Obama is not very successful if that is what he wants.

295,000 more nonfarm jobs last month, topping consensus forecasts of 235,000, the U.S. Labor Department said Friday. The nation's unemployment rate fell to 5.5 percent, from 5.7 percent.

Now, is something could be done about those stagnant PRIVATE company wages, things would be looking good. Companies showing record profits but not passing on to the workers. However, if job growth continues, employers will be forced to raise wages, as many companies have in the last few months.

Dependency population? Is that why he raised minimum wage for federal employees?
That job growth is mostly government jobs. - Only read your headline.

LOL
Incorrect Information -- Honestly: Why not post the truth? - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
I guess the truth doesn't match the conservative narrative?

FACT: Government employment showed little change over the last month.

Where were the job gains?

59,000 -- food services and drinking places
51,000 -- professional and business services
32,000 -- retail trade
29,000 -- construction
27,000 -- specialty trade contractors, mostly in the residential component
24,000 -- health care
19,000 -- warehousing

There were losses in mining (-7,000), and [quoting from the report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics--see link below] "employment in other major industries, including wholesale trade, information,
financial activities, and government, showed little change over the month."

Why not post the truth when facts are so easily verifiable?

Perhaps people are being told information that is not true and are believing it? Such is the world we live in where the so-called "news" is nothing more than spoon feeding of propaganda, political rhetoric, and blatant misinformation!

Republican-led House Blocks Obama Immigration PlanDec 04, 2014
Washington (AFP) - In a symbolic rebuke to US President Barack Obama's unilateral action on immigration, the Republican-led House of Representatives voted Thursday to block his plan to shield millions of people from deportation. The bill, which passed 219-197 along party lines, was introduced by conservatives furious with what they consider Obama's abuse of power when he announced his executive order last month. But it is unlikely to reach the floor of the Senate, where Obama's ...

Middle Class Will Face Higher Taxes Under Republican PlanJun 20, 2012
Those changes would benefit virtually every taxpayer, but they also would reduce federal tax collections by about $4.5 trillion over the next decade, according to the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center. Republicans have declined to identify their targets. However, some ...

Homeless Man Gifted Boots Has Already Sold Them, IllustratingDec 03, 2012
From Salon.com: The image of NYPD officer Larry Deprimo giving a pair of new boots to a homeless man in Times Square became an online sensation when the NYPD posted the tourist’s photo to Facebook. The reality of how the story played out, however, further illustrates that one heartwarming picture can offer a misleading narrative about the challenges of homelessness in New York.
