IS THE MAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE MENTALLY ILL?

By Coach Dave Daubenmire
November 6, 2014

I am not asking this with my tongue in my cheek. I am as serious as a judge. As I sit here and write, I am listening to Mr. Obama's press conference. Something is very wrong with this guy. He is either mentally ill or demon possessed. Either choice is a possibility. But something is definitely wrong with him. He seems somehow inhuman.

I’ve lived my entire life in a world of athletic competition. I understand the human emotion that is associated with winning and losing. I grew up with the opening theme of ABC's Wide World of Sports continuously playing in my head. (If I close my eyes I can hear the voice of Jim McKay bouncing around the corners of my brain.)

“Spanning the globe to bring you the constant variety of sports... the thrill of victory... and the agony of defeat... the human drama of athletic competition... This is "ABC's Wide World of Sports!"

The thrill of victory and the agony of defeat brings with it emotions. That is why we watch sports. We love the human drama of athletic competition. That's why we have press conferences after games. We love to hear the emotional reaction to winning and losing.

President Obama is a hollow man. He has no feelings. He feels no emotions. The human drama of competition seems to have no outward effect on him.

Can I be blunt? He got his butt kicked. Every talking head on the tube is pointing the finger at his unpopularity. “The bloom is off of the rose. It is a direct repudiation of his policies. The era of Obama is over.” It is as if everyone knows it but him.

Politics is nothing more than a beauty contest, and Obama has been voted off of the island. But he acts as if he still owns the island. There seems to be no agony in his defeat. It is not normal. His emotions do not line up with reality. He is either sick or he is possessed. I'm not laughing. I am serious.

His party rejected him. The American people rejected him. His fawning media has turned their affections in a different direction, yet he shows no emotion. I watch him on the TV. I watch him in his press conference. I watch his eyes as he responds to the media's questions. I believe he is a sick, dangerous man.

I Googled the word ‘sociopath’. “A person with a psychopathic personality whose behavior is antisocial, often criminal, and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience.”

Bingo. That's him. That's the guy living the life of President of the United States.

I went a bit further and Googled “Characteristics of a Sociopath.” Read it for yourself. Permit me to summarize. You recognize his mental illness by these traits.

- An oversized ego.
- Lying and showing manipulative behavior.
- Incapable of showing empathy.
- No lack of shame or remorse.
- Staying eerily calm in dangerous situations.
- Behaving irresponsibly or with extreme impulsivity.
- Having few close friends.
- Being charming ---but only superficially.
- Living by the pleasure principle.
- Showing disregard for societal norms.
- Having intense eyes.

The man is either sick or non-human. He does not react like a normal human being.

Consider this from the article:

“Sociopaths can be very charismatic and friendly -- because they know it will help them get what they want. “They are expert con artists and always have a secret agenda,” Rosenberg said. "People are so amazed when they find that someone is a sociopath because they’re so amazingly effective at blending in. They’re masters of disguise. Their main tool to keep them from being discovered is a creation of an outer personality."

As M.E. Thomas described in a post for Psychology Today: "You would like me if you met me. I have the kind of smile that is common among television show characters and rare in real life, perfect in its sparkly teeth dimensions and ability to express pleasant invitation."

Reading that gives me the willies...how about you?

No emotions. Cold. Calculating. He doesn't even know that he lost. He is unaware that he has been rejected. He acts as if it is business as usual while the entire Democratic Party is wishing for a moving van out in front of the White House.

In my coaching career I lost a lot of games. I know how it feels. I know how it makes you react. He has destroyed his party. His friends are running for cover. But he acts as if he has just won.

Sociopaths are dangerous. Some famous sociopaths in recent history include Charles Manson, Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, and John Wayne Gacy.  You laugh at me. You ridicule what I say because I compare him to serial killers. Go ahead. Laugh. He displays all of the characteristics of the above mentioned goons. They were charismatic and likeable.

What kind of man plays golf after a young man's head is chopped off? What kind of man disappears for hours while some of his “employees” are being killed overseas? What kind of man permits a deadly disease to be freely introduced into a society? What kind of man acts as if he won when the whole world watched him lose? What kind of man believes his own lie?  President Obama is either sick or demon possessed. Red flags are everywhere we look. Will his own party stop him? Will anyone stop him? President Obama is a sick, dangerous man.

Dave Daubenmire is a veteran 35 year high school football coach who was spurred to action when attacked and sued by the ACLU in the late 1990 for praying with his high school football team. After a two year battle for his 1st amendment rights, the ACLU relented and offered coach an out of court settlement. Challenging the "church of the Status Quo", Pass The Salt Ministries is calling Christians to wake up and engage the culture. By taking the fight to the enemy, Coach Daubenmire has become a recognizable voice in the media as he is an unashamed, articulate, apologist for the Christian worldview. A popular, high-energy speaker, Coach Daubenmire's motivational lectures, laced with powerful and relevant Scripture, is challenging Americans all across the country.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I was taught that nice Christians do not judge others as being demon-possessed, evil, or the son of the Devil.

"Coach" Dave Daubenmire is the sort of Religious Right activist who believes that airplane chemtrails are spreading chemical weapons, openly defends Fred Phelps, entertains conspiracies about 9/11, FEMA camps and martial law, and all-around just doesn't like gays because he is "sick and tired of being sodomized by the left."

As for his "traits of the sociopath," it is to laugh. For real? Intense eyes are the signs of a sociopath? I don't happen to agree with the other numinous criteria.

Those criteria are taken from the DSM-IV, not about Obama, and they are being used inappropriately as propaganda by those who are unqualified and unlicensed, which is a very dangerous thing to do.

Not to mention, true sociopaths are infamous for projecting their illness onto others and making you believe it.

And since many lawyers have been tested and proven sociopaths-in-suits and become politicians, it is not beyond the realm of possibility that he is, but he wouldn't be alone in either party.

None of us are qualified to diagnose anyone, especially people we don't even know in real life.

And if anyone thinks they can through the media, perhaps they should have their own arrogance and grasp on reality checked.

Okay, I'll take "Things Sociopaths and their party-puppet followers Say" for 100, Alex.

I'm sorry, but I'm stronger-minded than that, and I ALWAYS look behind the curtain.

Like the commenter I'm replying to, I'm just not a fan of diagnosing people I've never met in real life, especially without a license, based on some criteria that isn't even a part of the DSM-IV. I'm not even qualified to do so in real life.

And usually when someone tries to shove that "power-of-suggestion' crap my way, I end up wondering about that person more than the person they're "suggesting."

For instance, please find me proof that Daubenmire believes that aircraft contrails are spreading chemical weapons.

Ad hominem. - Plus, you're quite wrong anyway...

[ In Reply To ..]
The "judge not" quotation from the Bible is usually misunderstood and misapplied, especially by non-Christians. Throughout the New Testament, Christians ARE specifically adjured by Christ to exercise judgment with respect to the people and situations around them ("by their fruits, you shall know them", "be wise as serpents, as gentle as doves", etc.).

I wish people who only have a nodding acquaintance with Christianity would kindly refrain from offering theological lessons to the rest of us.

Unlike you, I offered no theological lessons - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
You did, however, forget one: Judge not that ye be not judged.

You do realize there is a difference between exercising judgment and meting out judgment?

Edited to add: Incidentally, I have more than "a nodding acquaintance with Christianity." I just happen to be able to use "oy vey" in a sentence. Please review ad hominem.

Oh you want a bible scholar? - I'm your sister girl:)

[ In Reply To ..]
I nearly have enough credits for it to be my minor, so I'm ready, sister :)

However, it is important not to take scripture out of context and misapply it to people we THINK Christ is talking about rather vs. who he most likely meant considering the text which preceded it.

Since Matthew begins Chapter 6 clearly calling out the Pharisees on their hypocrisy, continues doing so in Chapter 7, chides them a bit more in 8 and 9, we can safely assume he means the Pharisees as the "wolves in sheep's clothing" as members of the synagogue itself.

Proof of this is found in Matthew Chapter 7 which saya....

21: Not every one that saith unto me, "Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

Finally, in Matthew 23, Christ makes it absolutely clear who exactly he's been talking about the entire book of Matthew - the Pharisees within the church...

2 “The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. 4 They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.

And more...

25"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the dish, but inside they are full of robbery and self-indulgence. 26"You blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and of the dish, so that the outside of it may become clean also. 27"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men's bones

And this, which is my very favorite part of that chapter of Matthew, which most Christians don't even know about:

Matthew 18:21-35

32 “Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. 33 Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ 34 In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.

35 “This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”

Which means, my dear "Doves," God forgave us our debt and if we do not treat others the same way over their sins, God will be even less merciful on you than the master on his servant in this story.

So be wise, Dove, when you try to pick out the Pharisee wolves from the sheep and be certain you try to "lift that finger" to help them first, lest you be the very wolf Christ preaches against.

And lastly and most importantly, Christ says, "He who exalts himself shall be humbled, and he who humbles himself shall be exalted"

Grace saves, nothing else, don't ever imagine you earned it more than anyone else.

Could care less what the bible says. Besides, - that stuff doesnt belong in government.

[ In Reply To ..]
If "that stuff" doesn't belong in government, then why is the first thing they do when they swear in a new pres, is have him swear on the BIBLE? HMMMMMMMMMMMMM Splain that Lucy
Not your Lucy or this commenter & I didn't realize you were Latino, Ricky/Rusty - but I'll 'splain :)
[ In Reply To ..]
Well, the First Amendment actually just states "Congress shall make no LAW with respect to religion or prohibit the free exercise thereof" with article VI simply stating that "No actual religious test/examination will be given to take office."

It doesn't say anything about using a symbolic object of faith to swear by as a traditional symbolic gesture of 'good faith."

Since all presidents thus far have been of the Christian faith, it's a way of proving their commitment to their oath is as great as their commitment of faith.

However, since the bible actually says "Do not swear by God/heaven/earth (depending on interpretation)" in Matthew 5:34, doing so is actually a contradiction to Christian faith, proving doing so is not really about faith, just a symbolic gesture of commitment.
Bible - Rusty
[ In Reply To ..]
The Bible says do not swear...... but it means do not swear an oath on a Bible unless you truly mean it as an oath of your faith. In other words, if you do not believe in God and the Bible, then you are being blasphemous/following the evil one, if you do this oath on a Bible. So that explains a lot with O. BUT if you have faith and believe in God, then that oath is sealing your oath with Him also, not just man who is conducting that oath. And as far as calling you Lucy, it is called humor. Something you obviously need more of in your life. Wound tight are we?
You realize I didn't really think you were Latino, right? - Everyone else got the joke
[ In Reply To ..]
Judging by the votes, everyone else got that joke. They always do (when they're not removed).

Sorry about yours not faring as well. Perhaps some fresh, original material next time, just sayin.

As for your bible thoughts, nope, sorry, wrong again, the bible is very clear on this one: Matthew 5:33:

"But I say to you, do not swear at all, neither by heaven, for it is God's throne; nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black. But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

Never ceases to amaze me the amount of Christians preaching at even other Christians who don't know what Christ actually said, especially vs. Paul or their own minister.

Christ, you remember him - our actual Messiah vs. his apostles or your preacher?

It also never ceases to amaze me how when one side brings this up and we reply, only our replies get moved to the faith board :/

This would be why Gandhi once said, "I love your Christ, but I can't stand your Christians."

I'm just sorry he thought all Christians are like that.

I've often thought that right from the beginning. - Abby (sm)

[ In Reply To ..]
"Demon-possessed?" Okay, Coach, step away from the ultraconservative Kool-Aid, you've had way too much.

As for sociopaths, well he would be an expert on sociopaths, especially as a football coach. But perhaps his observations would best be useful towards members of the NFL than politics.

Not that I don't think that 99.9% of federal politicians AREN'T sociopaths, but none of us are really qualified to determine that, to include Coach Dave who has now appointed himself a doctor and expert demonologist.

This is the far-right extremist guy that said "bullying is a part of life and not allowing bullying in society is part of the 'gay-mafia-government's agenda" to bully people themselves?

http://www.newswithviews.com/Daubenmire/dave345.htm

(Need I point out the lack of logic in that statement)

Since the poster mentioned "demons" and "coach claims himself one," I have to ask because I must've missed the part of the bible where Jesus said bullying anyone was okay under any circumstances to "make them stronger." The closest he came was calling out Pharisees on their hypocrisy.

So was that before or after he stood in front of a prostitute to keep Pharisees from stoning her and said "he who is without sin cast the first stone?"

Correction, s/b "since poster mentions demons because coach did himself" - Freudian Slip

[ In Reply To ..]
The sentence above should've read "Since the poster copy/pasted a post mentioning "demons" because the "Coach" himself did, I have the right to ask this biblical question."

NOT what I wrote, which was the "coach claims himself one".

One what, a demon?

Sorry about that. I swear it wasn't intentional. Freudian slip on my part? Lol.
