I saw a little blurb on the internet today about

So what's your take on that?  I think it would be a good idea.  They've already been bound and determined to divide the country into two "colors" - red and blue.  Maybe they SHOULD be allowed to become their own country.  What do you think about that?

I don't think the "taker" states in the South who - sm

I wonder if they'd continue to have a democracy. - Do you think they might choose -

to be under religious-ruled government instead?

There would be a mass relocation Exodus (pun intended) if they did. - sm

For the same reasons the South lost the civil war, it would never happen. The South would be broke without the dollars from the Northern and Western provider states that the federal government redistributes to them far in excess of what they pay in.

It has to be many months ago, I had heard someone talking about Texas wanting to do this. Maybe it is them. They are big enough to be a country. LOL.

I'd be fine with splitting the country in half from top to bottom - so each new nation has a coast line.

I'd move to Conservania and let all the shirkers and slackers on the dole move to Libermania.

Conservania would need to build a strong military because I'd give it five years tops before we'd be attacked by Libermania for our stuff when they run out of theirs.

This is the most excellent post I've read!!! 100 likes - Mrs. Tingles - sm

I would go for that. Since everyone would know who you voted for I say this. Instead of moving, just whoever you vote for is your president, so there would be 2. One that would govern the liberals and one that would govern the conservatives. You don't have to move, but at least politics would be better balanced. Right now the way it is set up is half of the country is getting screwed because the other half chose poorly.

I'd rather live in Liberalia than Conservistan. - True Dat

UTD Fox News Blurb, Weather And Sports WhileJun 16, 2014
I went to a newly opened Shell station to get a half tank of gas.  As soon as my pre-purchased card cleared to begin the transaction, a video monitoring changed from showing a still picture of something you could buy inside to a recent news blurb of local events, followed by a three day forecast of weather in my area, a commercial inviting me to buy Snickers by running inside, finally followed by a Fox sports cast, all timed perfectly from the start of the transaction to the last 30 seconds ...

Question About Internet Service ProvidersJul 09, 2016
Last night I was watching TV when I discovered that my half my channels no longer worked.  I have bundled service (internet, land-line phone, and cable TV), so I called my ISP, and they told me that they have a "new and improved" system now (sounds like Nuance, huh?) and I would now have to rent a box for each TV in my house in order to restore my fave channels. Um, no thanks. I'm not under contract, so I'm going to cancel my service and find alternatives.  BTW, I've le ...

will have wholly ceded over control of the Internet to UNIDO, (United Nations Industrial Development Organization). When it is far too late for anyone to do anything about it, history will someday record that Barack Hussein Obama hijacked public access to the Internet before leaving office. FCC Commissioner On Internet Oversight Switch. "If You Cherish FreeSep 28, 2016
This is irreversible." On Wednesday’s “Sean Hannity Show,” FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai (R) stated that the plan to “essentially give up the US oversight role…of the Internet” to ICANN is something that should worry anyone who cherishes “free expression, and free speech rights generally,” and could potentially cede oversight of the Internet to “foreign governments who might not share our values.” He further stated that such a move is “irreversible.” Pai said, “This ...
