Sarah Palin Wants To Bring "Truth" To "1400 Pennsylvania Avenue"

Sarah Palin just finished her speech to the Values Voter Summit, in which she told the far-right audience that they are “the most slandered group in America today.”

After explaining that people who believe racism exists in America today are the real racists, Palin said that it is high time for someone to speak the truth in politics…and that someone is her.

Palin lamented that “truth is an endangered species” at the famous address of “1400 Pennsylvania Avenue.”

at this time? When she was "introduced," it was a misguided attempt at an election bid. McCain might have stood a chance if he had not chosen so poorly (or his handlers had not chosen so poorly). Now, I see no reason for her to remain in the political arena, except that the Republican party is so fractionated that they cannot figure out how to rid themselves of her. They have managed to bury Bachmann pretty well. They need to do the same with Palin.

While it's true that a majority of voters elected Obama president twice, you seem to think that Sarah Palin losing an election somehow bestows upon her some modicum of intelligence? Her choosing not to even run for the GOP nomination in the 2012 election is much more indicative of the electorate's view of her.

When 65% of Americans including a majority of Republicans didn't want her to run for president and said they would never definitely positively vote for Palin for any reason, I think it's much more accurate to assume that Palin didn't hit that low water mark of political stupidity for the simple reason that people can't vote for someone who won't run because people quite simply will not support a candidate they perceive to be less intelligent than themselves.

If we're being completely honest here, it wasn't remotely that people were so much fooled by Obama, it was that they really weren't foolish enough to allow Stupid Sarah one heartbeat away from the presidency.

The real reason that Stupid could never hit that low water mark of political stupidity is because quite honestly, it's been way, way over her head.

She's an English professor at a community college (most of her students didn't know who she was for a long time), is involved in enough volunteer activities to overfill a totally empty schedule, is an ex- military wife and very concerned with their issues, writes books, and is a grandmother of five.
