You plan.

Plan - Fatigued Fingers

I know how you feel. Why is it so difficult to have my plans come to fruition? Why do some people seem to have it so easy while others just seem to languish? Ah well, as my well-meaning Christian friends would say, "It's all part of God's plan." Guess what? We have plans, too.

My view - see msg

I personally don't go for those "plan" things supposedly set up by Him. It just leaves us feeling let down by Him, does it not?

I frankly am never angry with Him, because I don't expect Him to handle everything. He is an adjunct to my life, not the controller. You are driving your car of life, nobody else.

So,take charge and stop waiting for Him to do it for you and stop blaming Him. You will find much more peace that way.

Not easy by any means.

As to those people who seem to "have it so easy," not necessarily. They probably took control of the driver seat and navigated their own course for life.

This is my view - sm

I just had this conversation with my SIL on Saturday. It is one thing to tell a person he/she is in charge of his life, and therefore the outcome. However, you must agree some people definitely have more of an uphill fight. I, too believe in God, but that's not the same as always understanding God. Sometimes no matter how good our intentions, and no matter how hard we try it goes belly up. You have years of that and your attitude changes, and often your faith is worn thin. I agree we need to take charge, but that in no way can completely determine the outcome.

I Understand That - see msg

I am not disputing that by any means. We don't have control over certain things, either. Things are what they are. I just take exception to the notion of getting angry with Him, when things don't go right.

And there truly are people who live putting everything in control of Him.

Example? Spending money wildly, and thinking He will figure out a way to get the bills paid.

Another example? Finding friends, a life partner, etc. There truly are some people who literally just sit and pray that "it" will happen. No, "it" doesn't just happen. You have to go out and give it all you've got to make it happen. It may very well not happen, but the blame isn't to be put anywhere.

One of my biggest pet peeves is religious people who have multiple children they can't afford or otherwise can't reasonably take the time to nuture properly, and then say that God blessed them with yet another child. No, He did not. You did that.

The list goes on.

You plan. God laughs - Laurie

I like that post - You know what they say, When you're at the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.
I tied so many knots in my life and I actually have hung on. That saying, What does not kill you makes you stronger. Yeah, I should be so strong! hee..hee... Keep the Faith !!

He doesn't seem to be a very nice - person/being/entity/deity.

I am the poster who stated "my view."

See? You just proved the point. Those who use God for controlling their lives are the most disappointed and think that "he" controls everything. "He" does not. YOU do.

Get off the notion that someone (or some being) other than yourself has control over your life.

I totally believe in God, but I also believe that I have to take some responsibility for what happens in my life. I have never been angry with God, because I don't believe he controls the universe.

Seriously, get off the notion that you can just sit back and think God is going to present a man to your door, drop the perfect job in your lap, pay your bills because you are overspending, or whatever else goes on in your mind that you think you have no control over.

Pence On Tax Plan AndApr 30, 2017
Tax plan "might increase the deficit" by trillions but it should be "short-term."  Okay, sure thing.  On ACA, "we have to get rid of the worst piece of legislation ever and replace it with something better."  Funny how it's the worst piece of legislation ever yet their plan was a disaster.  He is talking about keeping the pre-existing condition but putting them in a pool where companies can charge more for them.  Wow, I didn't watch the interview but wonder if ...

Obama's Energy PlanMar 30, 2011
In a speech Wednesday at Georgetown University, President Obama outlined his goals for reducing American energy dependence, heavily emphasizing new technology and alternative sources in addition to "safe and responsible" offshore drilling. He was quick to add that the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico had not been forgotten, and that "today we're working to expedite new drilling permits for companies that meet these higher standards." The president pointed to rising prices at the pump, wh ...

My Thoughts On The Post About The GOP PlanNov 10, 2009
Firstly, I am *not* opposed to a GOP plan - and to be fair I don't have enough details about what it would and would not do (which I plan to remedy).  I read the following post to get more information, but much of it is opinion - or vague -and did not explain how it is better than the current bill(s) under consideration.  Let me be specific:  OP:  This is what I like about the GOP plan:Instead of govt insurance it reforms the system. 1.  How is the "Pelosi's ...

Also, Ryan wrote this: "Starting in 2022, new Medicare beneficiaries will be enrolled in the same kind of health care program that members of Congress enjoy." Simple But Intriguing Tax Plan -Jan 10, 2013
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is proposing to eliminate Louisiana’s income and corporate taxes and pay for those cuts with increased sales taxes, the governor’s office confirmed Thursday. A Progressive Deficit Reduction Plan....smNov 29, 2012
A Progressive Deficit Reduction Plan Repeal all of the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax breaks for the top two percent.  Repealing the 2001 and 2003 tax breaks for the top two percent would reduce the deficit by about $1 trillion over the next decade.  After President Clinton increased taxes on the top two percent, the economy added over 22 million jobs.  After President Bush reduced taxes for the rich, the economy lost over 600,000 private sector jobs.  Create an emergency de ...

On Another Note, Biden And McConnell's Plan Dec 31, 2012
This was before Obama's speech. BTW, according to Sen. Corker, Obama wants to pay for the sequester cuts (and have them taken out of this new legislation) with the tax increase revenue and not reduce spending cuts already agreed to and not the deficit. Again, Obama doesn't know how to add or subtract. Taking in $80 billion and spending $60 billion does not give $80 billion towards spending reduction on the debt. This story has been updated. Vice President Biden and Senate Minor ...

How Democrats Plan To Cut Food Stamps WithoutDec 11, 2013
How Democrats Plan to Cut Food Stamps Without Enraging Their Base By Meredith Shiner For Democrats especially, any talk about cutting billions from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program is uncomfortable and certain to create internal strife. The key is eliminating a loophole that enables states to help some low-income residents with no ...
