Does anyone pray for the patients.

Posted: Jul 30, 2014

Sometimes I get so touched by some of these reports that I have to stop and pray that the Lord will heal these patients and give peace of mind to the families who are going through such heart wrenching times with a loved one. Especially touching are the young ones going through cancer treatments or trauma. Sweet babies.

Me too. I definitely believe in prayer. What really frustrates me is when a psych patient comes in confiding in the doctor that they are waken up in the night because they feel the Lord wants them to pray. The doctor decides they need more medication. Since when was it nuts to hear from God? If we put our faith in horoscopes the world approves, but when we speak to God, people get worried. Sheesh! :(

Yes, all the time! God hears the prayers - of his people. Some have

cancer or severe depression, or just nothing is going right in their treatment or prognosis. I lift them up to our Lord for comfort, healing, peace, and strength.

For each and every one. If I forget, I feel like I didn't do my job. LOL Hope we do some good, I think so.

Think rationally for one tiny moment. A person wakes from sleep and claims a sky spirit woke him up in order to talk to the sky spirit.
You see nothing strange about this?
Not strange at all. Your beliefs are personal.. - kshel

and the poster wanted to share. Why would you even post this? It is as if you are trying to point your holier than thou finger at someone for their beliefs. Strange, I believe you fit that profile, not the poster.
Who are you to pass judgement on anothers' - noneya

post? You calling someone "frivolous" is hurtful and equal to calling them names which, as we all know, you get over when you are all grown up. Think about why you need to take down someone for their beliefs.

Absolutely! I was told 20 years ago, - to pray for patients.

I thought my job was useless. Then during a Bible study, someone told me I was the first to see and know what was going on with a patient and could pray for the patient.

I do reports for a big hospital in the midwest and see a lot of cancer reports, anorexia, car accidents and sometimes I just feel so overwhelmed by it that I have to stop and pray for the people in the  report. I don't know if this helps them, but it makes me feel less depressed.  Anyone else do this?    ...

Medicare Patients...bringing This To The TopJan 06, 2010
In response to a post well below this..... http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2010/01/06/medicare_and_the_mayo_clinic/ Yes, fact is many places are not accepting Medicare patients and it will get worse. This is an opinion piece, but one cannot argue the FACT that Mayo Glendale has stopped accepting Medicare patients as have many other facilities and that the number will continue to grow with the passage of the reform. Obamacare Funding Running Low For Patients Feb 16, 2013
Tens of thousands of Americans who cannot get health insurance because of preexisting medical problems will be blocked from a program designed to help them because funding is running low. Obama administration officials said Friday that the state-based “high-risk pools” set up under the 2010 health-care law will be closed to new applicants as soon as Saturday and no later than March 2, depending on the state. But they stressed that coverage for about 100,000 people who are now enrolled ...

Insulin Therapy Beneficial To Alzheimer's PatientsSep 13, 2011
Intranasal insulin therapy appears to provide some benefit for cognitive function in patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer disease Funding for this study has been provided by the National Institute of Aging, the Nancy and Buster Alvord Endowment and the Department of Veterans Affairs. (the NIA is a division of the National Institute of Health, a government program, as is the DoVA). I wonder how many people realize that important studies like this are done by our F ...

Medicare Fines Hospitals For Too Many Re-Admitted PatientsOct 01, 2012
Is this how Obamacare is going to "pay for itself?" What about those complications that are not the hospital's fault? How are they going to rate which complications are due to hospital care and which are due to patient noncompliance? I would think this is a really tough decision to make. _______________ WASHINGTONIf you or an elderly relative have been hospitalized recently and noticed extra attention when the time came to be discharged, there's more to it than good customer service. ...

Raising The Medicare Eligibility Age Would Cost Patients About Twice As Much,Dec 06, 2012
"When economists and policymakers worry about the long-term fiscal crisis, what they’re mostly worried about is Medicare. That’s why a persistent idea during this fiscal cliff season is raising the Medicare eligibility age from 65 to 67. It’s an idea that appears superficially to have many virtues. Bringing the Medicare retirement age into line with the Social Security retirement age seems logical. The change is simple to describe to journalists and the public."  & ...

Doctors Required To Ask Patients About Their Sexual HistoryOct 15, 2013
It'll be a cold day in hell before I tell ovomit and his satanic HHS director Sebelius anything about my sex life.  Doctors are now required to document in the health record how many sexual partners a patient has had.  I go back and forth between saying "Oh, maybe 37,000" and "none of the F-ing government's business."  Ovomit has gone past the point of no return with his total intent on turning America into a socialist or even communist country. http://politix.topix.com ...

Doctors Begin To Refuse ObamaCare PatientsAug 08, 2014
"Obamacare plans have shrunk payments t physicians so much that some doctors say they won’t be able to afford to accept Obamacare coverage.  Many of the 8 million sign-ups in Obamacare exchanges nationwide already face more limited choices for physicians and hospitals than those in the private insurance market. But with low physician reimbursement rates, the problem could get even worse." This is just ONE of many Obama headlines today.  Is anyone surprised? ...
