Doesn't matter. Still will be headed to the Supremes. - Don't get too happy just yet.

SC will probably throw it out. - As well they should!

They should, and they WILL. - No worries, no doubts.

How could they possibly throw it out? - This I gotta hear.

m,
Me too. That's why I'm looking forward to - when it happens.

Question... - ZvilleMT

[ In Reply To ..]
If the SC throws it out, which ruling will stand? The DC Circuit is one step below the SC, so would it go back to them?
No I think it will be done if the SC rules against - IRS and ACA

I mean if the SC refuses to hear the appeal... - ZvilleMT
[ In Reply To ..]
which court decision would stand - the one by the DC Circuit or the 4th Circuit? They're both different, so which one would prevail as the final word?
sorry, misinterpreted your ? - I think the district court
[ In Reply To ..]
would hear it again en banc in D.C.

but if the two federal appeals courts are at odds, and Supreme Court won't hear it, I dunno what happens.
OK, I didn't know it would be heard again... - ZvilleMT

or if this ruling would stand. Guess it won't be pretty either way.

Yes, and the Supremes have made it clear - sm

just how much they care about the average person ("corporations are people"). They walk in lock step with the cons.

From Roberts on down, they all need extensive testing for dementia.

It's working real well in Cuba and Venezuela, - universal suffrage. nm

I guarantee you those judges in the 4th district - circuit had their opinion

[ In Reply To ..]
already written and ready to publish and were just waiting for the DC circuit to issue their opinion before the 4th circuit published theirs.

"laws mean whatever we say they mean, not - what's actually written"

[ In Reply To ..]
no kidding, that's what the administration officials and members of the leftist media now claim.

It all depends on what they decide "state" means, - to paraphrase Bill Clinton

[ In Reply To ..]
it depends upon what the meaning of ‘it’ is. The language of the law is quite clear and unambiguous to any honest person. To those who want to change it, they can simply say the logical equivalent of “inside now means outside” to arrive at their desired end. It’s amazing how far the Republic has fallen.

Guess somebody's pretty upset over it. Too bad. I hope the Supreme Court also upholds it, but I'm tired of Obama trying to change laws. He has no right to make law, change the law, or to pick and choose which laws to enforce, jsut like the the former AG had done.  Hopefully, he won't challenge it but I don't think his ego will just let it go. ______________________________ President Barack Obama's executive action to shield millions of undocumented immigrant ...

President Obama’s most recent budget proposal takes aim at a tax exemption that has helped drive an explosion in publicly-financed sports facilities across the United States, a move that would end federal taxpayers’ role in subsidizing the construction of stadiums and arenas that often provide little economic benefit to their cities and states. Progressive push-back against SCOTUS campaign finance decision is a sight to behold.  The New York law firm prominently visible in the ad wisely chose their notoroius spokesperson to push for environmental law reform while attorneys quietly prosecute personal injury claims in the background. They managed to do this with 15-second cost effectiveness and  hit the ground running with a near instantaneous response to the birth of corporate freedom of speech.   Holy ...

Appeals Court Strikes Down Obama Recess AppointmentsJan 25, 2013
Really? You mean the courts are finally going to start doing their job? A federal appeals court said Friday that President Obama overstepped his authority with a series of recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board. The case may wind up in the Supreme Court and determine how far the president can go in appointing people whose nominations would be filibustered in the Senate. The result could affect the standing of other Obama appointees, such as the head of the president's ...

Appeals Court Refuses To Lift Hold On ObamaMay 26, 2015
A federal appeals court refused Tuesday to lift a temporary hold on President Obama's executive action that could shield as many as 5 million immigrants illegally living in the U.S. from deportation. How The ACA Pays For SubsidiesNov 07, 2013
Short, but good article on NRP.   The new health care law will provide around $1 trillion in subsidies to low- and middle-income Americans over the next decade to help them pay for health insurance. Johanna Humbert of Galien, Mich., was pleasantly surprised to discover that she qualifies for an insurance subsidy, since her current plan is being canceled. Humbert makes about $30,000 a year, so she'll get a subsidy of about $300 a month. The new plan is similar to her current one, but ...

Chuck Schumer Is Gabbing About The Oil SubsidiesMay 16, 2011
They expect it to come to a vote this week. It would only stop the subsidies for big oil: BP, Sunoco, Shell, Exxon Mobil, and Conoco. The little guys won't be affected. The purpose of the bill is to make a dent in the deficit. It will NOT affect gas prices.  "The government sends $1 billion a day overseas to countries we don't like." I think this is the one they are talking about: Close Big Oil Tax Loopholes Act - Amends the Internal Revenue Code to deny to taxpayers with gross ...

Pocketing Obamacare Tax Subsidies Could Result In An $800 Tax Bill For U.S. HouseholdsMar 24, 2015
Experts have long worried that millions of Obamacare recipients will file their taxes this year and and get hit with an unexpected tax bill. The reason? They possibly underestimated their income for the year and wound up pocketing a bigger health care tax subsidy than they should have. Now we have a better idea of just how expensive that bill could be. The Kaiser Family Foundation estimates that more than half of U.S. households eligible for health insurance subsidies in 2014 will ...

But the legions of God's angels weren't coming to rescue the Jews and establish a divine government.  Instead, Jesus said "My kingdom is not of this world."&n ...
